Drains drains drain with

Grimbo, dubbed the ‘drain prodigy kid’ since his teenage years, aspired to join the Cave Clan but faced internal politics within the Australian underground community. Despite challenges, he’s thriving independently. In New Zealand, Grimbo’s future drain adventures were foreshadowed by a harrowing plane flight. Grimbo also discussed a controversial aspect involving an explorer whose questionable interests coincided with Grimbo’s growing interest in drain exploration.

The podcast explores what makes a good drain, the dangers of exploration, and the ability to predict hazards. Grimbo shares techniques for finding drains but underscores the extreme danger. He strongly advises against solo exploration or without experienced companions.

I met in the canteen building of the former Soviet mining settlement known as Pyramiden and I was immediately struck by Dmitrii's eloquence and welcoming nature.

PYRAMIDEN 🥶 Frozen in time former Soviet mining settlement on Svalbard - now a ghost town!

Welcome to today's episode, which is all about Pyramiden. So, what is Pyramiden? It's a former Soviet mining settlement located in the Arctic Circle on the Svalbard archipelago. This place is a ghost town, frozen in time. The Russians used to mine coal from Pyramiden, a settlement they bought from Sweden. Due to various circumstances, including an airplane disaster in 1996, the decision was made to close all operations.

Fast forward to 2007, the owners decided to embark on new operations, this time linked with tourism. This summer, I invited nine of my former podcast guests on a trip to the Arctic to experience this remarkable place — an experience that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time to the era of the Cold War. You'll have the opportunity to see what living in Soviet Russia was like, with all the relics of the past left behind.

In this podcast, we'll highlight the events of this trip and share the best moments of this adventure.

In this episode, we chatted with Sara Starkström a Swedish urban explorer. She shared her journey, from childhood curiosity about an old farmhouse to exploring catacombs and underground spaces. Sara dreams of exploring Japan and has ventured into amusement parks and an untouched sanatorium.

She recounted an adventurous encounter with a wild boar in Spain and a visit to a Swedish asylum known as the "black storm building," where she met unaware politicians. We discussed the legal aspects of urbex, including the arrest of two urbexers in Sweden.

Sara's urbex journey began with Spreepark, a German abandoned amusement park, revealing its intriguing history. She also shared her Caribbean boat graveyard discovery while learning to sail.

Meet Matt Lambros, an urban explorer and photographer passionate about abandoned theaters. He's documented them for nearly two decades and collaborates with owners while offering photography workshops.

In our interview, we discuss the Newark's Adams Theatre incident and Matt's ethical approach to exploration. Matt's transition from state hospitals to theaters is notable.
