Cherokee Women and Their Important Roles:
Women in the Cherokee society were equal to men. They could earn the title of War Women and sit in councils as equals. This privilege led an Irishman named Adair who traded with the Cherokee from 1736-1743 to accuse the Cherokee of having a "petticoat government".
Clan kinship followed the mother's side of the family. The children grew up in the mother's house, and it was the duty of an uncle on the mother's side to teach the boys how to hunt, fish, and perform certain tribal duties. The women owned the houses and their furnishings. Marriages were carefully negotiated, but if a woman decided to divorce her spouse, she simply placed his belongings outside the house. Cherokee women also worked hard. They cared for the children, cooked, tended the house, tanned skins, wove baskets, and cultivated the fields. Men helped with some household chores like sewing, but they spent most of their time hunting.
Cherokee girls learned by example how to be warriors and healers. They learned to weave baskets, tell stories, trade, and dance. They became mothers and wives, and learned their heritage. The Cherokee learned to adapt, and the women were the core of the Cherokee.

By the age of 10, most children in the United States have been taught all 50 states that make up the country. But centuries ago, the land that is now the United States was a very different place. Over 20 million Native Americans dispersed across over 1,000 distinct tribes, bands, and ethnic groups populated the territory.
The ancestors of living Native Americans arrived in North America about 15 thousand years ago. As a result, a wide diversity of communities, societies, and cultures finally developed on the continent over the millennia. The population figure for Indigenous peoples in the Americas before the 1492 voyage of Christopher Columbus was 70 million or more.
About 562 tribes inhabited the contiguous U.S. territory. Ten largest North American Indian tribes: Arikara, Cherokee, Iroquois, Pawnee, Sioux, Apache, Eskimo, Comanche, Choctaw, Cree, Ojibwa, Mohawk, Cheyenne, Navajo, Seminole, Hope, Shoshone, Mohican, Shawnee, Mi’kmaq, Paiute, Wampanoag, Ho-Chunk, Chumash, Haida.
Below is the tribal map of Pre-European North America.
The old map below gives a Native American perspective by placing the tribes in full flower ~ the “Glory Days.” It is pre-contact from across the eastern sea or, at least, before that contact seriously affected change. Stretching over 400 years, the time of contact was quite different from tribe to tribe. For instance, the “Glory Days” of the Maya and Aztec came to an end very long before the interior tribes of other areas, with some still resisting almost until the 20th Century.
At one time, numbering in the millions, the native peoples spoke close to 4,000 languages.
The Americas’ European conquest, which began in 1492, ended in a sharp drop in the Native American population through epidemics, hostilities, ethnic cleansing, and slavery.
When the United States was founded, established Native American tribes were viewed as semi-independent nations, as they commonly lived in communities separate from white immigrants.

Happy birthday- Keanu Reeves
❤️Get your tee: (https://daily-print86.com/great-2)
His father abandoned him when he was 3, his daughter died when he was 8 months old, his wife died in a car accident, his best friend died of an overdose. And despite everything, Keanu Reeves never lost his splendor, his world never fell apart.
During the filming of the movie "The Lake House", he overheard the conversation of two costume assistants, and a woman was crying because she would lose her house if she didn't pay a sum of 20 thousand dollars. He deposited it into her account.
On his birthday in 2010, he went into a bakery alone and bought himself a cupcake with only one candle. While he was eating it outside, he invited all the customers to free coffee and bread. This was his luxury birthday.
With the earnings of the Matrix trilogy, he distributed 50 million dollars to the special effects staff, because in his opinion, they were the real heroes of the movies.
He almost never uses stuntmen, only for very specific things like stunts. For this reason, he recognized the work of his stuntmen and gave each of them a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Even today, he regularly uses the subway and other means of public transportation like the bus when it is appropriate, because they are the most practical, and he is never ashamed.
Several hospitals claim to have received tens of millions of dollars from him.
He has donated 90% of his salary in some films, to allow the production to hire other stars.
In 1997, a paparazzo found him on the street sitting next to a homeless man, listening to his life and having breakfast with him.
Everything good we know about Keanu Reeves, he did not tell us, but those who benefited from it. He has never declared anything.
For everything he has lived, he could have had a sadder and more pessimistic view of life, but he has chosen to be that something good in the midst of all the bad that exists.
How not to admire him ❤️❤️❤️❤️

"I am a United States Navy Veteran. I’m also Apache, as my grandfather is from the Mescalero Apache tribe.
Someone said it is disgraceful for me to wear a uniform for the USA if I am Native American.
Let me tell you this. I am Apache and American.
We do not come up with excuses not to serve or go to battle for our people."
