Today, I have been really thinking of how lovely life is. After camping for even a weekend you start to appreciate running water and real bathrooms. I complain about wanting more land, a bigger house and a pond, but when it comes down to it, we truly are living the dream.
I don't ever want to be so comfortable that I get lazy and complacent.
I also don't want to constantly be living for the future.
I want to find that sweet spot.
The place where I can appreciate how far we have come, truly live in the moment and continue to work towards being a better human.

There is not a woman alive who hasn’t been told she was not doing enough, not achieving enough, not striving enough, not enough period.

In honor of International Women's Day, I would like to share this with you.

More is not better. This is a lie, pure and simple.

• Forceful is not inherently better than gentle.
• Assertive is not automatically better than conciliatory.
• Highly visible is not more important than discreet.

We need more women comfortable in their own skin.

The constant scurrying up and down the scales to hit some imaginary target is exhausting.

Know who you are, know how you thrive, know your own volume, and live unapologetically in that lane.

Hold your territory. As much as it depends on you, w**d out the voices insisting you become more or less.

Here is the bottom line: you are well put together exactly how you are.

You may be your sister’s keeper, but you are not her copy.

Don’t look sideways.
Don’t look to media.
Don’t look to your group’s norms.
Don’t look to some reduced definition of womanhood or feminism.

Whatever container you naturally fill is the perfect one.

You take up the right amount of space.

So take it up.

What a small but impactful word.
Most mornings, I find myself wondering if enough is something I can be.
Enough can also be your limit.
Today I have had enough.
Enough of feeling like I am not worthy of friendships.
Enough of feeling ashamed of the city I’m from.
Enough of questioning if I deserve the life I’m so lucky to have.
Today I’m choosing to ignore the inner thoughts that seem louder than the truth.
The truth is I am enough.
You are too.
This is your sign to stop the negative self talk.

These nails were a last minute thing. 💅
I was actually disappointed when putting them on. They're shorter than I usually prefer but I didn't have time to do a full set by hand. So press ons to the rescue!
Little did I know this set would inspire new designs and a 🌟spark✨️ of creative energy I haven't felt in quite some time.
Situations like this always remind me that even the small things we're not expecting to impactful, can be. Don't be afraid to find the blessing in the small things. Life is made up of tiny insignificant moments that can be life changing if you let them. Things that seem disappointing at the time can turn into happiness later on.

This is a very strange thing to say, but no one usually accuses me of being normal. 🤣
Today I'm incredibly thankful for our bedroom and closet.
I complain about our house a lot. Today though, I'm thankful for a space that can hold almost all of my clothing and still feel organized.
I'm thankful for the huge space I have for my own personal fashion shows and photoshoots with fashion I'm not brave enough to wear to the grocery store or park.

This has been on my mind a lot lately and I am taking it as a sign that it needs to be shared.
A lot of times we can feel stuck in our negativity with no way out. It's important to recognize all of our feelings, even the negative ones, but it's not good to stay there.
Today I want to encourage you to go out and be the energy the world needs. Compliment a stranger. Give an old friend an encouraging phone call or message.
