Our thoughts and hearts are with the two survivors whose family was irreparably damaged by right wing extremism this weekend in Walled Lake. We have seen the extent to which many local leaders have irresponsibly dabbled in conspiracies of their own. Those kinds of behaviors have real world dangers.

Novi Mayor Pro Tem David Staudt is the owner and president of Advance Oakland, a political SuperPAC which employs white nationalists to help Staudt spread his hateful ideology here in Novi.

Staudt is currently running for State Representative against his former client Daniel Lawless.

Shane Trejo, who has been trying to purge rival GOP officials who certified Biden’s election, once hosted a podcast with a member of the white supremacist group Identity Evropa.

STAND WITH NOVI TEACHERS:

Ryan Kelley, a GOP candidate for Governor, attacked the Novi Schools during the July 20th GOP debate by repeating the frequently debunked claim that "critical race theory" (a graduate degree course) is being taught in the Novi School District. He points to the district's publicly available Social and Emotional Learning Guide, which has since been published and distorted in Republican circles by Mayor Pro Tem Dave Staudt's white nationalist website Advance Oakland.

If Ryan Kelley spent as much time learning about Novi's award winning schools and curriculum as he did breaking into the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, he would know better than to attack Novi teachers.
