So, this is the ONLY 86 PROJECT – you will receive a page from a feature film script. You may or may not know what the script / film is, but none of that matters at all. You have that one page to work with. In your current lockdown corona state, '"oh my god, board up the windows, Nanna" stage, you take this page and shoot your short film.
There are only 3 rules;
Your final edit should only be between 60-90 seconds in duration.
Shoot it in a landscape format (if you’re using a phone, hold it horizontally!).
Don’t put any music in, we will create the score (but we totally encourage the use of sound effects).
It can be one shot or fifty. Either way, you take the page, film it and edit it how you want. With your kids, your cats, your neighbours, your puppets, your left-handed le***an uncle. Any style, just tell the story on the page you get, however you want to tell it. Go for it! Just keep in mind it is part of an ongoing story. Then send it through to us!
It can be shot on your phone, your old VHS camera, your laptop, a sequence of photos or drawings, or whatever your mind desires. It is all about telling the story. Once you send your piece back to us, we will edit it into the feature film none of us ever knew was going to exist!
ENTER HERE by emailing an expression of interest to [email protected] and if you are one of the first 86 then you will receive your single page of script.
You have 1 MONTH to complete your piece of the film and return it to us by the end of April 2020.
The final product will be free to view for everyone on the internets. Good luck! There will be only 86 of you, so all the best!
PS remember, this is a project of interpretation. In our modern age. Go for it however you choose to. Any questions, just ask. You’ll probably know the answer sooner than we do. x
