I featured this amazing pub on a video a couple of months ago. It's in need of support with this petition.
An inconsiderate person has moved near this live music venue and decided to complain about live music. Putting live music at The Flying Circus at risk of ending. This will not do. More information on the petition link. Please sign to show support.

(FROM THE KIERAN'S PUB ADVENTURE ARCHIVES - MARCH 2023)

Peg and Parrot, Totton.
Been here a handful of times before.
A good proper pub. On the old/original main street of Totton, Rumbridge Street (what a cool name for a street).
Not sure about the history of this pub or how long it's been here. It feels like it's been here a long time.
Nice interior and friendly staff.
I wandered in as they were opening up.
I had a pint of Timothy Tailors - Boltmaker.
Very nice pint. It was understandably quiet, they'd only just unlocked the doors but a few friendly locals started rolling in while I drank my pint.

(Story Time)
I was out around dusk last night. Traveling down the ancient road, Ermine Street. Nobody around. A thick mist rolling across the fields. I was thirsty and ready for a rest. Despite the warmer weather lately. There was a chill in the air. The warm glow of an Inn or tavern was required. As luck would have it. I was close to a village, with a pub that I'd never been to before. Perfect. I abandoned Ermine Street and turned left down what seemed like an even older road. There was still a glimpse of daylight in the sky above but the old road was almost black from the shade of the tall hedgerows. Eventually I made it into the charming little village of Snitterby, in Lincolnshire. It was silent apart from the gentle gurgling of a nearby beck. The beck was flowing over a ford. Near this ford was the Royal Oak, in Snitterby...
A very attractive country pub. That beckons you in. I have only seen it at night but I imagine it's a lovely place to sit in the sun with a pint. The beer garden is very nice. I went in and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of different beers on cask. I love cask beer so I was very happy. I foolishly forgot to take a photo of the beer choices. I drank a Stancil Brewery - Barnsley Bitter and a Roosters - Buckeye Pale Ale. There were also two or three other choices and some real cider. The staff here were very hospitable and welcoming. Despite a weird traveller coming in from the night I was made to feel welcome. I enjoyed a brief conversation with the barman/or landlord. I had to compliment the beers and the great quality at which they were kept. I was sat in the corner taking in the atmosphere. A very impressive traditional pub sign was on the wall near the table I was sat at, I love the paintings on these old signs. I'm guessing it was a sign that originally lived outside.
The interior is very cosy. Lots of comfortable places to sit. The locals were all in conversation. Laughter and happy chit-chat filled the pub. I could've quite happily spent the evening there. Upon leaving I returned my glasses and again complimented the quality of the beer I'd just drank.
I shall definitely be returning to the Royal Oak in Snitterby. Hopefully next time it will be on a summer's day. To enjoy that beer garden. 👍🍻☀️

This should quench my thirst. 🍻

( Kieran's Pub Adventures )
Yesterday me and my partner were in Gainsborough for a day out. We visited the Eight Jolly Brewers. A fantastic little pub, with a unique appearance and layout. Located slightly on the edge of the town centre, just off the beaten track and behind some other town centre buildings.
If you live in Lincoln, you can easily get here by bus or train. It takes about twenty minutes to get to Gainsborough (on train), then another twenty minutes walk from Gainsborough Lea Road railway station to the pub itself.
A fantastic pub if (like me) you enjoy real ales and real ciders.
We ran in here quite briskly to escape a sudden heavy downpour. We were immediately greeted by a fantastic choice of beers and a friendly welcome. Even the sun decided to shine the moment we arrived. The bar staff were very kind and helpful. My partner who came in with me doesn't like overly hoppy beers but the bar staff were able to advise her on what each beer was like to help them decide. A half pint of a Ruby Mild was her choice.
The locals here are also very friendly. A great place for conversation. I can imagine it gets a bit livelier in the evenings.
I enjoyed three pints of amazing beers during this visit.
We could've quite happily stayed for one more but we had to start walking back towards the railway station.
This was my partner's first visit to the Eight Jolly Brewers and she was impressed and found it to be well worth running in the rain and through the back alleys to get to.
We hope to come back again soon. 🤘🍻
