UPDATE:
A group of parliamentary caucus of 26 legislators wants 11 more counties to be added to the existing 47, bringing the total to 58.

The eleven proposed counties are;

Kuria County from the existing Migori County,

Teso County from the existing Busia County,

Mount Elgon County from the existing Bungoma and Transzoia Counties,

East Pokot County from the existing Baringo and West Pokot Counties,

Mwingi County from the existing Kitui County,

Gucha County from the existing Kisii County,

Suba County from the existing Homabay County,

Ijara County from the existing Garissa County,

Nakuru West from the existing Nakuru County,

Wajir South from the existing Wajir County

Nyambene County from the existing Embu County.

In a joint memorandum to the National Dialogue Committee, the MPs says the proposal for additional counties was a result of the economic, social and political marginalisation of groups with limited representation within county boundaries.

FELIX ODERO REGE YOU ARE STILL A TOODLER ON MATTERS BLOGGING:
I always sympathize with this man called Felix Rege. He wants to join us in this trade of Blogging through the backdoor. He's a fierce supporter of the embattled CEC for Sports, Gender and Social Services Hon Josephine Achieng. What he doesn't know is that Nakuru online writers/ bloggers are not all that stupid as he would want some of us to believe!
Felix's problem is not that the CEC has a pending corruption case hanging on her neck but Luos, in particular this author.
He's alway been on the forefront to depict a picture that the CEC is being fought by Luos in this town.
Let me set the record straight...
1. It's now in the public domain that the CEC has an ongoing case at both the police and the EACC after she had solicited money from a one Hilda Anyango purpoting to secure her a job in the Nakuru county Government.
2. It's also in the public domain that her husband Charles Akoko is also on the radar of the DCI and the Police after he tried to defend the wife by abusing perceived "enemies" of the wife including myself.
3. No luo should be blamed for a sin done by the CEC in her docket. That is an individual problem and she should solve it as such.
For Felix Rege to always seek sympathy from the public by blaming Luos and failing to tell Waziri to return people's money is next to hypocracy.
He wants to burry his head in the sand that there is nothing wrong the CEC has done. I think it is high time he faces his friend CEC and boldly tell her to sort out her mess before the matter gets out of hand.

My friend Felix Rege, kindly know that this fight is not ending soon. It will only end when the CEC and her husband will stop chest thumping and impunity.

*SOURCES WITHIN NAKURU COUNTY GOVERNMENT ALLEGE THAT;*

1). The Gender, Youth, Sports and Social Services CECM Josephine Achieng and Charles Akoko have perfected the art of defrauding innocent and gullible members of the public promising them non-existent jobs in Nakuru County Government.

2). The duo has purportedly so far swindled over Sh 10 Million from unsuspecting youths seeking employment at the county government of Nakuru. Charles Akoko has reportedly been approaching desperate job seekers who are later taken to Waziri's office where money exchange hands. One such case is where Hilda Anyango was allegedly conned over 800k with the promise of a job.

3). Akoko is well known to have reportedly worked in cahoots with unscrupulous Nakuru County Service Board members especially during the immediate former county administration to fleece job seekers.

4). A huge burden of political representation has patently been placed on the CECMs and COs by the county administration without facilitation and as such, members of the Cabinet are crafting ways to maneuvre.

In light of the above, the Nakuru county administration should thoroughly investigate the claims raised, seek facts and take stern administrative action against Cabinet members found culpable for ethical malpractice. The accused should in the meanwhile, step aside pending investigations.

NAKURU CECM LINKED TO JOB SCAM

Nakuru County Youth, Sports, Gender and Social Services CECM Josephine Atieno Achieng is alleged to have solicited for money from job seekers between February and June 2023 to have them hired at the county.

A number of the innocent job seekers claim to have parted with huge sums of money that they allegedly sent to the said CECM but never got the promised jobs.

Close interrogation of one of the victims of the jobs scam, Hilda Anyango, reveals that Nakuru County CECM Josephine Atieno allegedly received over Ksh 800,000 from her but failed to deliver as she had promised. She adds that upon persistently pursuing refunds from the CECM she only managed to receive back around Ksh 340,000 before the county official turned arrogant and blocked their channels of communication. She has authorized M Pesa statements from Safaricom supporting her claims.

Hilda says that the official took advantage of her unsuspecting innocence to draw her into the jobs scam. In phone message conversation with Hilda (done in Luo) CECM Josephine Atieno asked for money as little as Ksh 3,000 and as high as Ksh 100,000 on different dates where the victim complied and even went to an extent of borrowing from Safaricom's Fuliza fintech. A WhatsApp message further reveals an instance where the CECM asked the victim to hurriedly send her money in pretense that she was then at the Public Service Board offices ready to trigger her employment.

The victim claims to have reported the matter to the EACC and the DCI where preliminary investigations saw the CECM refund one of the victims. The entire findings are reportedly due to be released.

According to other complainants, the CECM alleged that the money she took from them was to be shared with two other senior county officials including an influential figure sitting in the Nakuru County Public Service Board that hires county staff. President Ruto yesterday made it clear that all the civil servants or County officials who engages in corruption deals should face the full force of the law.
Governor Susan Kihika's administration is on the spot. The CEC for Sports has been taking money from the unsuspecting members of the public with a promise of giving them non-existing jobs. The matters have been reported to both the police and the EACC but todate nothing is happening.
Mr President,come down and save your voters from this corrupt County official.

EX-MUNGIKI LEADER WANTED FOR QUESTIONING

Detectives based in Nakuru County are looking for ex-Mungiki leader Maina Njenga, in relation to the recovery of two fi****ms and over 90 rolls of bhang, found at a home linked to him.

In the raid conducted at Ngomongo village in Dundori ward, the officers who arrested 8 suspects aged between 37 and 54 also found three rounds of 9mm blank ammunition hidden in one of the rooms. One of the fi****ms recovered was a home made pistol capable of firing while the other one was a Tokarev whose serial number had been defaced.
