👑 Dear Kings and Queens,

The Covid-19 Pandemic rocked our lives in so many ways; from being quarantined for months, to learning new skills, to financial instability, to building a platform, to losing loved ones and so on. To keep our heads leveled we decided to take a break and deal with other parts of our lives. Observing one's limits and knowing when things are getting too overwhelming is the keystone to Self Care and we needed to practice what we preach “Take care of ourselves”.

We are in a much better place now, and are ready to come back and deliver awesome content and restart our podcast in the coming weeks.

She served as Vice President under President John Magufuli, who passed away Wednesday. She was the first female VP in Tanzania and now is the first female President in East Africa.

🏆 Beyoncé became the most-decorated woman in Grammy history with 28 wins 👏🏾 Megan Thee Stallion won 3 of her 4 nominees 🙌🏾 H.E.R also ended the night with 2 Grammys.

🏆 It was a big night as well for rapper Nas, who received his first Grammy award for Best Rap Album. Tiffany Haddish also won her first award for Best Comedy Album.

🇭🇹💔Haiti is in middle of a political crisis and widespread gang violence. For the past couple of months protests have shaken the street of Haiti paired with increase gang violence.

This unrest was triggered by protest against Haiti’s President Jovenel Moise to leave office imminently after protester believe that the President term ended in February 2021. Gang affiliated groups have instilled fear in neighbourhoods in which they exercise controls.

We pray for the lives lost, those injured, for peace, justice and an end to the violence in Haiti 🇭🇹 🕊😢

🏆 Burna Boy won Best Global Music Album for Twice As Tall, which marks his first Grammy win.

“This is a big win for my generation of Africans all over the world... This should be a lesson to every African out there: No matter where you are, no matter what you plan to do, you can achieve it...”

🏆 Wizkid won his first Grammy award for the Best Music Video Category with Beyonce for the song “Brown Skin Girl” on which he features.

This is a major achievement for African music and artists to be recognized globally in the music industry. It’s only the beginning!

🇸🇳💔 For the past couple of days protests have shaken the west African nation of Senegal. At least 5 people have died already.

This unrest was triggered by the arrest of opposition leader Ousmane Sonko for r**e allegations, which the protesters believe are politically motivated. The protests are also fueled by economic inequalities and concerns for the youth’s standard of living.

We pray for the lives lost, those injured, for peace, justice and an end to the violence in Senegal 🕊😢

✨Shining light on Two Cameroonian Innovators Ymma

🙌🏾These 2 Cameroonian 🇨🇲 Dads, Gaetan Etoga and Yannick Nguepdiop , created Ymma world a black doll company based in Canada.

🤎Ymma dolls were created to promote diversity. Through their dolls, they want to teach children, especially Afro-descendants, to have self-confidence. They want to make them realize they are beautiful the way they are and above all and in no case should they be ashamed of their skin color.

✊🏾These creator also support Cameroon’s economy, by using fabrics produced and sold locally in addition to participating in job creation by having the dolls clothes made in Cameroon. The fabrics are chosen to remind young kids to the times of African kingdoms and empires.
