series 1

Two friends were discussing and reviewing recent events in the country while returning from a function in the night.

Suddenly, someone they didn't know joined them.

The stranger inquired to know the topic of their discussion.

One of the friend named Cleopas answered the stranger..."hmmm, you must be the only person in this country, who hasn't heard about all the things that has happened these past few days."

The stranger asked again, "what things?"

"The things that happened to the man from Nazareth", he answered.

They told the stranger a little they knew of the man from Nazareth and everything that had happened recently to him.

The stranger listened attentively to them.

It was now his turn to say something.

The stranger started from what they knew to what they didn't Know.

He gave them a detailed "gist" about the man from Nazareth.

He cited historical references to support his gist and talked as if he knew the man very well.

This discussion lasted for quite sometime.

They got to the junction where they were suppose to part.

"Please Sir, spend the night with us", the friends begged the stranger.

The stranger hesitated for some minutes and then joined them.

When they got home, they offered the stranger food.

Sir, please pray for the food.

Immediately, the stranger prayed for the food Gbam!!! Their eyes were opened and they recognised the stranger.

Something to ponder.
1) The friends were discussing something that was pleasing to the ears of the stranger. Try to discuss something meaningful when you are around friends. If you have a friend that says "rubbish" when you are with him/her, try and reorient him/her.

2) They thought they had a full knowledge about the stranger, but they didn't. Try to get correct and full knowledge on issue. Don't be an agent of fake news.

3) The stranger gave them correct orientation about Himself. You can correct wrong impression, people have about you, by explaining to them the reasons for your action.

4) Their reaction and attitude towards the man influenced his response and attention he gave to them. Try to be civil towards everyone you meet. Don't look down on anyone.

5) The friends were hospitable. Try this and you will reap the fruits someday.

Improve yourself in this lockdown and change your view.
love you and there is nothing, you can do about it.

Mrs Ekpenyong was watching her favourite television series, when she heard her iPhone beeped, she picked it up and read the message on the screen. Suddenly, she started shouting, "the leaders of this country are corrupt oooo".
"How can a building housing 70 billon naira catch fire ooo". "Something is fishy ooo". Her next action was to forward the message to her husband, her two sons and her married daughter based abroad.
When her husband, Mr Ekpenyong returned about an hour later, "my dear, where did you get that story from? he asked. "It is one of the news media, I subscribed to that sent it to me" she replied. "My dear, that is a fake news", Mr Ekpenyong said. "Aha ha, what is fake news again? Mrs Ekpenyong asked. Mr Ekpenyong requested for dinner and a warm bath.
Thirty minutes, his wife asked the fake news question and he started the impromptu and mini lecture. "Fake news according to Wikipedia is " also know as 'junk news, pseudo-news, or hoax news' is a form of news consisting of deliberate misinformation or hoaxes spread via traditional news media (print and broadcast) or online social media".
According to David Lazer et Al (2018) in book, "The Science of fake news" fake news is also a "fabricated information that mimics news media content in form but not in organizational process or intent. Fake-news outlets, in turn, lack the news media's editorial norms and processes for ensuring the accuracy and credibility of information. Fake news overlaps with other information disorders, such as misinformation (false or misleading information) and disinformation (false information that is purposely spread to deceive people).
Mrs Ekpenyong was shocked that people could deliberately produce fake news. She noticed that her body started showing signs that it is tired and needs rest. "Darling, please can we continue tomorrow, I still have a lot of questions to ask, but I am feeling sleepy? Her husband obliged to her request. "Tomorrow, I will tell you the types of fake news that exists". "Thank you, darling, good night my dear", she said. Have a good night rest, my dear.
