Chief Ndungu dies

STATEMENT BY CHIEF NDUNGU'S PRIME MINISTER, PARTRICK FUMBELO*

It is with a heavy heart that I wish to inform the Nation about the untimely demise of His Royal Highness Senior Chief Ndungu the 8th of the Luvale people of Zambezi District who died on 27th January, 2020 in Ndola central Hospital. IDC Excited about Kalene Hills Fruit Processing Plant in Mwinilunga District

“The Kalene Hills Fruit Processing plant is one of our most exciting project because it speaks to one of the key mandate of the IDC, which is to add value to our natural resources”, said IDC Group CEO Mr Mateyo Kaluba.

Mr Kaluba said this after the IDC and Senior Chief Kanongesha of Mwinilunga District (where the project is based), signed an MOU on pertinent issues that concern the planning and implementation of the project.

He further said the IDC was honoured to contribute to turning a valuable natural resource in Mwinilunga and Ikelenge into wealth for the people. He said the project will not only enhance job creation for the farmers but also various players in the value chain that the project will create.

And Senior Chief Kanongesha said he is happy that the IDC was implementing a project that would change the face of Mwinilunga through the creation of jobs in the District and the entire North-Western Province.

He said the Royal Establishment fully supports the project and was committed to ensuring it is a success

PF GOVERNMENT SHARING DEVELOPMENT EQUALLY- KUNGO.

North western province PF chairman Jackson Kungo, says the PF government is taking development to all parts of the country equally.

Mr Kungo, highlighted among other things the state of the solwezi Chingola road as evidence of the work of the government in the province and cautioned residents of the North western province against being misled by false accusations raised by the opposition.

Mr Kungo was speaking on VOICE Fm Zambia/North west TV.

Job GETTING done! His Royal Highness Chief Kanyama paying courtesy call on DC Arnot Mapulanga and making a generous donation of 50 by 50kg bags of maize and 85 by 90kgs of dried cassavaof to the vulnerable through Health institutions and Mwinilunga Correctional Facility, following the successful hosting of chidika chavula ceremony in October, 2019. The DC appreciated His Royal Highness as the gesture was timely looking at the increase in melie meal prices which had reached K 195 for a 25kg bag. Therefore the Government was very grateful and we shall continue to work together with the Royal establishment.
