I hope you guys aren't tired of Frankenstein retellings....

Eynhallow is an incredible novella that reimagines the creation of the Monster's bride. It absolutely blew me away!

“How cheap is life to someone who could do this? How entitled is the man who can treat another soul like a tool to be employed and then discarded when it breaks? How could one be so blind as …

Double Feature this week! I'm talking about how much I loved two horror books set on the streets of my hometown, "Ghosts of East Baltimore" and "Ghosts of West Baltimore" by David Simmons. Check it out, hon!

Last March, I was scrolling through the r/horrorlit subreddit, when I saw someone mention a book called Ghosts of East Baltimore. Considering I spent the first 20 years of my life growing up on the…

Does the phrase "q***r, feminist sequel to Frankenstein" pique your interest? I know it definitely had me rushing to borrow a copy of "Our Hideous Progeny" by C.E. McGill from the library!

“Perhaps I am meant to drown after all. But if I do, then at least it will have been by my own hand” – C.E. McGill, Our Hideous Progeny Plot Summary London, 1853. A time of plenti…

In case you haven’t heard the news: I’m speaking on my first panel! Next month, I’ll be speaking on a panel of book influencers at AuthorCon, a weekend convention celebrating horror fiction! It’s sponsored by Scares That Care, an amazing volunteer organization that helps families affected by childhood cancer & illness.

This will be my first time speaking on a panel at a convention, I’m excited and nervous! I will try to see if we can film the panel, so those who aren’t able to come to Williamsburg can still watch. But if you aren’t doing anything the weekend of April 12th…

2023 was an insane reading year for me! I always like to do an end-of-the-year recap, but since I read so many books this year, I'm making two separate posts: one dedicated to my top horror reads, and another dedicated to my top non-horror reads.
