Spending a very lazy Sunday eating scones and enjoying the stunning scenery at Melford Hall.
I love the fact that so many old Manor Houses are open to the public, and the owners still live in the house. Grab a bite to eat, have a wonder and soak in some history📕
Fun facts; Melford Hall was built in the 16th century, but there’s no certainty who built it, or even when.
And the village of Long Melford was one of the wealthiest in Europe, and has, very possibly, the longest high street in England.
And am I correct in thinking the ash beam at the end was Sean Connery’s first ever car in Dr No? The owners have driven it all the way from Belgium!

We made a very last minute decision to head south for a couple of weeks to Valencia.
I love nothing more than a euro road trip. We took our time and took three days to drive the 1,300 miles south; stopping in Bordeaux and Zaragoza- two stunning towns, full of character and charm👌🏻
We’re staying 200 meters from the beach here in Valencia, and I can honestly say I’ve never seen such a bustling beach in my life. Music, dancing, volleyball, cafes, picnics for mile after mile, all day (and night), every day.
