Looking for ways to work on your business while you're social distancing?

Here are 5 things you can do for your business while you to help

1. Learn a new skill
There are a lot of websites offering free or discounted courses. Take advantage of the extra time and learn something new that can help your business

2. Update or create your website
Your online presence (especially right now) is the first thing people see before patronizing your business. Your website is your digital home. If you haven't updated or created your site since you started your business, now's the time to work on it. If things have changed in your business, your online presence should reflect that. Make sure your social media platforms are up-to-date too.

3. Create social media content for a few months
Get ahead of the curve and take a few hours or a day to plan out your social media posts for at least a month or more. Take it a step further and go ahead and schedule your posts so you can focus on other parts of your business.

4. Compile resources for your customers/clients
Remember that helpful FAQ or that PDF with resources you meant to create to help your customers but never had time to compile? Now you have the time, take a moment and create something that will help your customers now or in the future.

5. Work on admin/clerical things
When you're running a business, sometimes you may find that you're not as organized as you'd like or as efficient as you can be. Now that there's time to do so, organize your online (or paper) files. Create templates for evergreen content so you don't have to keep recreating things you use often.

If you’re experiencing a crisis, the marketing tactics you used the week before the crisis may not work. You could come off as insensitive and “tone deaf” to your audience, and that’s the last thing you want. ⁣
