How is this legal???
This IS human trafficking ... it's against the law and morally and ethically wrong to offer a pregnant person money for their baby ... wtf is happening in America?
There are no words in my vocabulary to express how disgusted I feel right now, I may actually throw up....
This agency needs to be reported to authorities, and government immediately!!!
This goes against the principles of many UN conventions, and I'm sure they have a webpage where we can lodge a complaint against the agency. I want to see them crash and burn.
PLEASE tell me someone here is in a position to do something about this.

This is what the government will let me see of my early care information from social workers notes when I was first placed for adoption.

It's cruel and inhumane to keep this a secret from me. It haunts me every single day, has badly affected my mental health and causes panic attacks.

It is redacted because of the privacy act to protect my deceased adoptive parents right to privacy.

How fu***ng ridiculous is that? They were MY PARENTS and we had no secrets between us, and they would be mortified to know this was being kept hidden from me and causing me harm.

It dishonours their memory.

Society cares more about an animals emotional needs and trauma, than adoptees that suffer lifelong issues from maternal separation at birth.

From "THOUGHTLESS DELINEATION " ... capturing exactly how adoptees feel, and calling for action from government. Same goes for New Zealand, except we haven't even got an apology, nor have any adoptee resources like Australia's Post Adoption Resource Centres.
Adoptees HAVE TO fight for adoptees rights, why? because we are the only ones that can.

I'm old enough now that I don't have to pretend for everyone else's sake, to be happy today on my birthday, on the day I lost;
My true family
My lineage
My culture
My whakapapa
My identity
My sense of belonging
My sense of self worth

This is a day of intense grieving and loss for me.

Take-out from this post for you all is this .. birthdays can be extremely triggering for adoptees, so please respect their wishes if they want to be left alone, and don't force them to celebrate if they don't want to.

Can we please STOP with this bu****it narrative ... there is NOTHING controversial about adoption trauma, or syndrome.
It's REAL ... just ask ANY ADOPTEE on the planet.

These behaviours ARE related to being adopted - not "claimed".

And they don't even mention that adoptees are 4x more likely to attempt su***de, self-sabotage, have c-ptsd, bipolar, imposter syndrome, lack of self worth . So wtf ?
