7 Most Common Google Indexing Problems
1) No-index Tag
No index tag will present Google crawling from indexed the page. Try to remove the no index tag if you want to index the page.
2) Robots.txt Disallows
If impossible pages are mistakenly disallowed in the robots.txt file, they won’t be indexed, so need to look at file and optimize it.
3) Orphan Pages
These are pages that have no internal links to the page. In this case site crawlers may have difficulties to find and index. Do audit and link them from relevant indexed pages.
4) Thin or Low quality content
If your content is not unique and doesn’t meet as per Google expectations, your page might face indexing issues.
5) Sitemap problems
A sitemap helps Google find and index pages on your site. Check if your sitemap is submitted to Google. If submit check for errors and fix them.
6) Mobile Friendly Issues
Google uses mobile first indexing, it means if page is not optimized for mobile it may face indexing issues.
7) Server Errors
If the server frequently returns 5xx errors when Google crawler tries to crawl the website, those pages might not be indexed.
