Chris was head boy at St Paul’s College, he has worked with young people in the community and is currently a youth social worker for Te Tāpui Atawhai … we’re super grateful he could join us to host this season and we just know he’ll be doing big things in the future !!!

Tonight we filmed talanoa with 6 teenagers 17/18/19 years old about what matters to them and why so many young people are so disengaged from politics and what they really truly want and believe ♥️ Some tough kōrero tonight around education, mental health and the real needs of community. So grateful to our young people for coming through and being brave in their sharing ♥️🌊

Troy is the director of ‘Dawn Raids’ by in its newest form with and … he is a visionary beyond his years and has such a love for our Pacific people it just oozes out! So many laughs but so many poignant gems and we are so grateful he was on the couch!

Gaby is legit one of the most talented Performing Artists of our generation and between all the loud ass hyena™️ laughs dropped some amazing knowledge bombs. So grateful to have this superstar on the couch with us! This Talanoa was held to celebrate and theatrical revival of the play ‘Dawn Raids’ by !!! Gaby plays the character ‘Fuarosa’ and we can’t wait to share this Tabu Tok with you all very soon!

The NZ Pacific Theatre and Arts Legend that is Tanya. We are soooooo grateful and excited to have had Tanya on our couch. IYKYK in the early 90’s Tanya was one of the founders of the multi award winning performing arts collective !!! We have no words for how special this series is and it’s a sneak peek into the newest iteration of “Dawn Raids” written by !!! in collaboration with Pacific Underground are giving us a theatrical revival of this classic play 25 years after it was first shared with us all! This Talanoa was so special and we cannot wait to share it with you all VERY SOON !!! 🌊

Part of our role as a Pacific platform is to give voice to issues that affect us not just directly where we are but also across the whole Pacific. We support wholeheartedly the DEMILITARISATION OF OUR PACIFIC !!! We also believe in educating our people on these histories and why moving forward a decolonized and demilitarised Pacific is and will always be the goal. Soooooo please encourage the young people in your life to enter! We would love to see their creativity in art and writing 🌊
