Raise a glass to a new episode of Taking Hugh for Granted and listen to Oscar and Diggory drink in Hugh's 1989 3 hour extravaganza 'Champagne Charlie' 🍾

Even though Hugh puts on another dodgy French accent and wears another dodgy moustache, he still manages to be at his charming, swashbuckling best, beating up the bad guys and getting all the girls 🦸‍♂️

Amid the turmoil prior to the American Civil War, Charles Heidsieck (played by Hugh Grant) has built a champagne empire across 19th-century France and the United States. Along with battling his uncle for control of the vineyard, reluctant French spy Heidsieck must do his best to avoid the Union Army attempting to capture and imprison him...

CHRISTMAS SPECIAL TIME!

Slip into a festive jumper, grab a glass of mulled wine and tune into the podcast's annual Christmas special.

This year, we're sticking with the Love Actually theme, but instead we're looking back at Red Nose Day Actually, the 15-minute sequel produced for charity. Hugh Grant returns as our sexy and noble prime minister, and leads by example, throwing dirty dance moves around No.10 Downing Street rather than illegal parties.

What you can expect from this episode:
Hugh Grant dancing to Drake
Sh*ttalking podcast arch enemies Colin Firth and Piers Morgan
A Love Actually quiz (experts only)

In the penultimate film of Hugh's catalogue, Oscar and Diggory review The Dawning (Robert Knight, 1988). They've put in some serious legwork too, by buying two copies of the DVD off eBay. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Diggory's copy didn't play properly so he's finally admitted that Oscar is the real Hugh Grant scholar.

An idealistic young Nancy Gulliver (played by Rebecca Pidgeon) is surprised when she discovers IRA gunman Angus Barrie (played by Sir Anthony Hopkins) whilst he’s on the run from the government. As they begin to get to know each other better, and Nancy begins to support Angus’ cause, she must keep his whereabouts a secret from everyone, including from her dearest Harry (played by Hugh Grant).

🚨 NEW EPISODE🚨

Did You Hear About the Morgans? Well did you?

Today, Oscar and Diggory review the very last of Hugh’s modern pieces. 😭

The third of four rom-coms that Hugh works on with director Marc Lawrence, once again Hugh plays a slightly destitable, but loveable Brit living in New York.

Meryl Morgan (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) and Paul Morgan (played by Hugh Grant) have separated since his infidelity. After witnessing a muder, the Morgans are relocated to a tiny ranch town in Wyoming as part of a Witness Protection Scheme and told to remain until the killer is caught. Whilst there, Meryl and Paul must sort out their relationship whilst trying to evade the murderer who is hot on their tail…

🚨 NEW EPISODE ALERT 🚨

Take a trip down memory lane with Oscar and Diggory as they take a look back to where it all began - Hugh Grant's first ever film, Privileged (Michael Hoffman, 1982).

Hughie Grant (as he's credited in the film) begins his acting career playing the role of Lord Adrian - a posh, entitled Oxford student with a slain deer slung over one arm, a girlfriend who doesn't love him on the other and his soon-to-be iconic floppy hair flowing lusciously behind him. For Hugh Grant fans, this is a must watch!

Notable for being the first theatrical release from the Oxford Film Foundation, Privileged was a film shot by Oxford University students, starring Oxford University students and about Oxford University students.

Edward Blake (played by Robert Wooley) is one of a group of Oxford undergraduates taking part in a student production of "The Duchess of Malfi". During rehearsals of the play, Edward strikes up a romance with fellow actor Anne (played by Diana Katis) and, later, Lucy (played by Victoria Studd). Whilst Edward tries to keep his relationship with one a secret from the other, he must also make sure his dalliance with Lucy is kept from her boyfriend, Lord Adrian (played by Hughie Grant)...

HUGH GRANT FANS – WE DID IT!!

We are thrilled to announce that Hugh Grant’s actor credit for ‘I’m Still Here’ has officially been removed from IMDb! 🎉🎉🎉

After writing an open letter and creating a petition demanding that IMDb remove Hugh Grant's acting credit from their website, Oscar and Diggory celebrate its removal in this special Hugh’s News episode.

Thank you to everyone who made this happen – we are so glad that we have made real actionable change to Hugh’s career and righted 11 years of injustice!

🚨 NEW EPISODE ALERT!🚨

This week we comb through 2010 mockumentary I’m Still Here, which follows Joaquin Phoenix’s Hollywood ‘breakdown’ and attempt to start a tone-deaf rap career.

Now I know what you’re all thinking – this isn’t a Hugh Grant film. We thought so too, until we discovered that it appears on Hugh Grant’s IMDb page as an official acting credit – forcing us to review the film.

The problem is this: Mr. Grant does NOT feature in the film at all. In fact, the only reference to him throughout the movie is a picture that only serves the purpose of mocking Mr. Grant. We believe this misleads viewers, who sought out this film to see Mr. Grant's bumbling charm or flowing locks.

Moreover, on IMDb's website, other prominent figures like Barack Obama, Alec Baldwin and John Travolta who supposedly 'appear' in I’m Still Here in the same non-acting capacity as Mr. Grant are listed as ‘uncredited’, and are presented with the caveat of appearing only in ‘archive footage’ used in the film. Why, we therefore ask, is Mr. Grant not afforded the same treatment?

Considering all this, we’ve decided to do the only thing left in our power: PROTEST! And we need your help!

We’re asking you, The Hugh Grant faithful, to press pause on Hugh’s rom-coms on Netflix, sharpen your swords to Stage Combat Level 4 and bring out your hammers a la The Undoing to demand the following changes from IMDb:

1. IMDb amend Mr. Grant’s listing on their website with connection to ‘I’m Still Here’ to bring it in line with the credits of other stars.
2. IMDb list Mr. Grant as ‘uncredited’ and as part of ‘archive footage’ – not as an ‘actor’.
3. On Mr. Grant's personal IMDb page, relegate ‘I’m Still Here’ from his ‘Actor’ credits, to his ‘Self’ credits.

This week Oscar and Diggory look back at Hugh's performance in 2000s crime-comedy Small Time Crooks. 💰💰💰

Dishwasher and small-fry criminal Ray (played by Woody Allen) plots with his wife (played by Tracey Ullman) and partners-in-crime to re-open a local pizza restaurant so they can dig underneath it through to the bank a few doors down. As they can't cook pizza, they bake cookies to sell instead and, while the no-hope tunnellers get lost underground, the cookie operation really takes off. 🍪

Suddenly, the would-be crooks find themselves as rich business people, fraternising with the likes of David Perrette (played by Hugh Grant). However, the other local money isn't quite ready to accept them and Ray and his wife wonder whether getting rich was really worth it...🤔🤔🤔

🚨NEW EPISODE ALERT🚨

In today's episode, Oscar and Diggory review Hugh Grant's first ever Hollywood blockbuster, Nine Months (Chris Columbus, 1995). There's certainly plenty to sink their teeth into in this episode, including Robin Williams' dreadful Russian accent, Hugh's and Jeff Goldblum's ostentatious piercing and that infamous incident that took place in Los Angeles just a two weeks before Nine Months' release.

Plush San Francisco apartment, sports car, friends, family and girlfriend, Samuel Faulkner (played by Hugh Grant) has the perfect life. That is, until he finds out his girlfriend Rebecca Taylor (played by Julianne Moore) is pregnant. Now, commitment-phobe and expectant father Faulkner might have to change his lifestyle for better or much, much much worse.

Take a trip back behind the Iron Curtain with Oscar and Diggory as they swap secrets about the world of espionage in The Man from U.N.C.L.E (Guy Ritchie, 2015).

In 1960s Cold War East Berlin, CIA agent Napoleon Solo (Henry Cavill) successfully helps Gaby Teller (Alicia Vikander) defect to West Germany despite the intimidating opposition of KGB agent Illya Kuryakin (Armie Hammer). Later, all three unexpectedly find themselves working together in a joint mission to stop a private criminal organisation from using Gaby's father's scientific expertise to construct their own nuclear bomb. Through clenched teeth and stylish poise, and some help from top MI6 agent Alexander Waverly (Hugh Grant), all three must find a way to cooperate for the sake of world peace, even as they each pursue their own agendas.

🚨Sylw cefnogwyr Hugh Grant!🚨

Join Oscar and Diggory as they climb up a proverbial mountain by reviewing The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain (Christopher Monger, 1995). Quite possibly the most unnecessarily long title in modern film history, Reginald Anson (Hugh Grant) is a cartographer sent to the small South Wales village of Ffynnon Garw, and is the said Englishman who went up a hill but came down a mountain.

It's 1917, in the middle of the Great War. When Anson and his fellow cartographer announce that their "mountain" is in fact a hill, the villagers are understandably disappointed and furious. Not to be outwitted by a rule (and the Englishmen who enforce it), the villagers set out to make their hill into a mountain, but to do so they must keep the English from leaving, before the job is done.
