HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY TO HELLO GEL MEDIA 🎉

Fun fact: I celebrate 3 anniversaries from 2019!

1️⃣ February - Landed my first official Upwork client
2️⃣ April - Said goodbye to teaching and hello to full-time freelancing
3️⃣ October - Hello Gel Media was born!

Half a decade of growth, pivots, and so many amazing connections! From mentoring in top Filipino programs to collaborating on courses, it’s been quite the journey. 💚

I still get DMs asking if I’ll be creating another course and I always say, “I don’t have the capacity.”

I still want to teach sometimes and an idea has been brewing inside of me for months (or even a couple years, TBH).

👉🏼 I’ve been thinking about offering some sort of “pick my brain sessions” for beginner freelancers or those who want to transition into freelancing.

For the past weeks, I've been leading a team to launch the Bits of Grace Podcast and it's finally here! 🥳

The last few weeks were the "silent weeks".

It's because our team, Pod Buddies, we're busy editing our launch episodes, creating social media content, and creating the tech part - RSS, host, and podcast directory submissions.

Everyone was silent, doing their thing.

But we know that everyone was working.

So Carla and I - done with our tasks - did the next thing - pray for our team.

Pray that every little thing that they do would not only be a skill point to them, but also a learning experience. (They were the first ones who listened to our episodes.)

You need a Content Bank for all of the content you’ve produced, be it social media posts, email newsletters, podcast episodes, video trainings, etc.

Why?

It will help you…

✨ Easily navigate through all the content you’ve created, especially if you’ve created a LOT.

One of my clients had different content formats spanning four years. We used a Content Bank as sort of a library so we can easily search through topics she has talked about in the past.

✨ Make linking easier.

Have you ever written a blog post and remembered that another one can be linked as a related reference? The thing is you wrote it so long ago that you kinda forgot the title and URL. When you have a tracker, you can search through all of your content and then find that related blog post you can link to the new article you’re writing. Two wins in one: you’ve easily found the old blog post AND linked it as a related resource which can result in bingeable content and reduced bounce rate.

I have a client who went through frequent changes in her business and changed ideal client avatars 3x in the past year. It didn’t “upset” me because the essence of her content pillars was still the same. We didn’t start from 0 when creating new content geared towards her new audience. Instead, we worked smart by going through old content and started seeing how her new ideal clients could resonate with them.
