Please welcome our next judge for this years POV: Youth Film Awards!!🎬

✨Jasmin Watkins!!✨

Jasmin is an emerging creative passionate about local projects. She has produced several award-winning short films, including "Beat" (2023 Fleurieu Film Festival), "Lyrebird" (2022 Paris Play Film Festival), and "Cyan Eyed" (2021 Australian Effects & Animation Festival Awards); and recently wrote / directed Carclew-funded short "Aced It!".

Jasmin’s TV work includes roles as Junior Post Producer on "Aussie Snake Wranglers", Researcher on "Teenage Boss", and PA on an episode of "Amazing Race Australia”.

Introducing our next judge for this years POV: Youth Film Awards!! 🎬

✨Ripley Hart!!✨

Ripley is an editor, filmmaker, and co-partner of the media production company Iris Wide Shut. He has worked in narrative and factual film, television, advertising, and short-form content.

Starting his editing journey at age 11 with a series of school staff interviews, he has since collaborated with notable figures like the band TOWNS and comedian Luke Kidgell. In 2023, Ripley was nominated for “Outstanding Editing in a Program” at the Antenna Awards for his work on series 2 of “Couch 44.”

It's time to meet one of our judges for this years POV: Youth Film Awards!!🎬

First up is ✨Lily Drummond!!✨

Lily Drummond is an Adelaide raised & based screenwriter and director. Their recent films, ‘Illustrating Sam Newton’ winning the audience award at Mardi Gras Film Festival 2022, and ‘Watch Me Fly’ winning Best Director at Focus On Ability Film Festival 2023.

Lily has been recognised on both the national and international stage as a filmmaker to watch, with their work screening at Academy Award qualifying festivals, and speaking on international LGBTQ+ and disability-specific film festival panels. Lily is proud to explore and share stories that are reflective of our diverse human spectrum - stories that have meaning and the potential to evoke change.

Thanks to City of Marion this year we’re running 10 awesome filmmaking workshops to show you the basics of making a short narrative film!

Facilitated by local filmmaker, , & assisted by an array of talented emerging filmmakers, we hope to inspire you to grab a camera (& your friends) and create something for this years POV: Youth Film Awards!
