Bravodemics! Be on season 2 of Historians on Housewives!
The Historians on Housewives project is looking for scholars interested in contributing to the second season of our podcast to begin recording in June 2020. The podcast is a great platform for Bravodemics of all ranks and specialties to speak about Bravo programming and its relationship (or non relationship) to their academic work. During our first season scholars addressed United States, medieval, and colonial histories. Topics included the concept of the "self-made man," wealth accumulation, slavery, fashion, memory, oral history, identity formation, women's health, women and politics, domestic violence, and tips on publishing. Episodes of the podcast can be found online at historiansonhousewives.com, or on all major podcast platforms.
If you are interested in being on a podcast episode please submit the following:
A 150 word abstract detailing how your academic interests align, even if only loosely, with topics related to the Real Housewives or other franchises on Bravo
A 150 word bio indicating your rank and area of specialization
Include your own one sentence Real Housewives catch-phrase/tag line
