If you read my post last week about the gentrification of the areas circling the downtown area, here's another example. High end luxury townhomes and ranch style houses for sale on Main st. Right outside of Downtown where Ken's cars used to be next to the old chicken Louie's chicken shack. They really want to get all of us poor folks away from downtown. During this whole rebuilding scenario,they haven't mentioned AFFORDABLE HOUSING not one time! Everything is labeled "Luxury" and "High end". Meanwhile in my neighborhood , there's more empty dilapidated houses then there are habitable ones. Our schools are atrocious , and there's a serious need for another grocery store. Oh, and how about getting some manufacturing jobs in the vicinity as well, instead of creating them way out in the rural counties where most of us urban folks can't easily get to them? It's going down y'all....I am Daddy Mitch and I approve this message. 💯😡

A company that recently acquired a property on North Main Street just north of downtown proposes building nearly two dozen modern new homes and a “luxury” car wash.

I tried to post this in some of the Facebook groups that deal with Dayton,. But it seems the moderators and admins are not too fond of my position on this matter. So I'm posting it again on my page and on my ghetto news page so that more folks may become aware of what's really going on in west Dayton.

Just watched a News story on WHIO channel 7 concerning the new Gem City market no longer accepting WIC benefits. I wish someone in the local media had the GUTS to say what's really going on. The area of west Dayton near Downtown between Salem Ave. And 3rd Street (Wright Dunbar, Edgemont, and the Grafton area) are targeted for GENTRIFICATION! They don't want the poor black mothers on assistance in their brand new pretty grocery store. They've been trying to accomplish this gentrification for over 20 years but now they are really trying to push it. One Example is the new food court on 3rd and Williams St. , That serves very high priced foreign international type cuisine (Caribbean, Philippine, and a Taco shop that sells 15 dollar tacos. ) People that live in that neighborhood ain't gonna eat that s**t! Another example is the tearing down of the old ice cream factory and the announcement of some real estate firm planning to build expensive high end luxury apartments in that space. Now the ONLY supermarket in what is considered a food desert, without any explanation, won't accept WIC benefits. Thousands of people in this area depend on WIC to feed their families. I don't know what the next step the Dayton elite is going to take in their efforts to rid the area of Blacks and other poor people, but rest assured, the plan is already in the works! Don't get me wrong, I'm all for progress. But only if that progress includes the community and individuals who live in the area so that everyone can benefit from it. Not just the Upper class who are clearly taking the area over and attempting to exterminate and neutralize the poor Blacks who have no voice, no hope, and not even a pot to p**s in! Paul Brown stadium is now Pay Cor stadium. Pay Cor is a software company that provides cloud based HR services for companies that are too damn cheap to hire their own human resources staff. I understand business and progress and all that it entails, but deep down in my soul I feel that capitalism is an all encompassing evil system that devourers and destroys everything in it's path. Corporate greed will be the catalyst for the demise of our civilization. They should have sold the naming rights to the local conglomerate Proctor and Gamble, makers of Charmin bathroom tissue and named it Paul Brown field at Charmin stadium. Then the facility's nickname could be "THE TOILET BOWL"!

I know it's only Monday, but by this time Thursday you're gonna be completely immersed in rain, snow, sleet, wind, freezing temperatures and maybe a possible earthquake or two...Get to the grocery store now! By Wednesday afternoon everything will be gone from your favorite grocer's shelves! The Great white death is moving ever so quickly across the U.S. and will make a direct hit right above our fair city! The impending Doom is real! They say keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. So in order to be able to communicate truth and reasonable political commentary, I'm struggling to watch the Trump hate rally in Tulsa Oklahoma. The lies, the pompous mannerisms, the rambling regurgitation of stories that never stay on point and his moronic misunderstanding of how government and society works is maddening. And what's even worse is the collection of idiots, morons, hicks, hayseeds, n***s, klansmen, Uncle Tom's, C***s and Sambos who are in the audience mindlessly cheering this wanna be dictator on. The only comforting thing about it is, knowing that they are all in an arena that's crawling and dripping with Corona virus and many of them will be infected. Then maybe the virus will mutate, enter their bloodstream, head toward their brains and somehow give these misguided and brainwashed individuals an epiphany that changes their mindset and gives them moral clarity. A quote from Y'alls president just moments ago " I have done more for the black community in 4 years that anyone in the last 40 years. " What effing universe is this as***le living in?

Car's computers can be hacked! I wonder if you can order a car from any of the major manufacturers without any computer software. I'm guessing almost 100% the answer is no. As a consumer, I'd like to be able to choose which bells and whistles i'd like on my new vehicle even if that includes NONE! Just give me a car with a decent motor, some crank up windows, and I'll use my fancy dancy cell phone for music news and entertainment. All technology and so called progress isn't necessarily a good thing!
