COPIED & PASTED. Flash floods on Sunday night caused huge damage to paddy crops in Wuyan and Munpora villages of Pampore in South Kashmir's Pulwama district.
The locals from these villages told Sachnews that flash floods caused by heavy rains submerged standing paddy crops on hundreds of Kanals of land.
A local resident, said that heavy rains on Sunday night affected a huge area of agriculture land in their area.
Tehsildar Zuber Ahmad Bhat along with a revenue team visited the area to take stock of the situation.
Tehsildar Pampore said that work on Khrew Nallah will be started by September.

Senior Congress leader and Secretary AICC, Chetan Chauhan on Tuesday held an important meeting with party workers of the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee from different areas of Pulwama district.
The meeting which was held at Wuyan area of Pampore reviewed arrangements made for Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra, in South Kashmir's Pulwama.
The Yatra is scheduled to reach Awantipora on 28 of January and will move through Pampore towards Srinagar.
Cheetan Chauhan, who is also observer for Bharat Jodo Yatra, also addressed a gathering of prominent party workers .
Those who participated and addressed the meeting include District President Pulwama Umar Jaan, Javaid Ahmad Magray and Adv Zameer Farooq.
Other party workers workers who participated in the programme include
Naseer Ahmad Mir, Arfat Khan and others.
Approximately 250 locals also participated in the programme.
