PHC Wuyan Excels in External Assessment under National quality assurance standards(NQAS)
Director Health Services applauds the achievement

In a remarkable achievement, Primary Health Center (PHC) Wuyan has emerged as the frontrunner in the external assessment conducted under the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS). With an outstanding score of 94% in the PHC category, PHC Wuyan has set a new benchmark for excellence in healthcare services across the 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Director of Health Services Dr.Mushtaq Ahmad Rathar has extended heartfelt congratulations to the dedicated team comprising the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Pulwama, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Pampore, and the diligent staff of PHC Wuyan for their exemplary performance. Weather Update

● A strong Western Disturbance is going to affect Jammu and Kashmir between 01 & 03 March. Under its influence, moderate to very heavy rain and snowfall is expected across Jammu and Kashmir.

● Rain and snow activities are set to commence from the morning of March 1st onwards, but the most significant impact will be seen on March 2nd.

● At first, there is a possibility for moderate to heavy rainfall only in the plains, which could transform into snowfall on March 2nd if heavy rain persists.

● Higher reaches are expected to receive heavy to very heavy snowfall till 3rd March.

● Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in Jammu region as well, with chances of snowfall in higher areas like Banihal, Kishtwar, and Bhaderwah.

● There are chances of lightning, thunder, and strong gusty winds in some parts of the UT.

● Landslides and shooting stones are expected along Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. It is suggested to avoid traveling on the highway till 04th March.

*Vijay Kumar-IPS takes over as ADGP Armed J&K*

Jammu, February 01, 2024: Shri Vijay Kumar-IPS on Thursday took over as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed J&K at Armed Police Headquarters J&K in Jammu.
On his arrival at Armed Police Headquarters, Jammu today, ADGP Vijay Kumar-IPS was warmly received by the senior Police officers including Commandants of AP and IR Bns besides officers and staff members of APHQ J&K.
Shri Vijay Kumar-IPS a 1997 batch IPS officer of J&K cadre while functioning as ADGP Law & Order J&K was given Addl. Charge of Addl. DGP Armed J&K by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir vide Order No 55-Home of 2024 dated January 27, 2024 issued by Home Department J&K vice Shri S.J.M Gillani-IPS who upon his transfer as Addl. DGP Railways, J&K with additional Charge as Managing Director, Police Housing Corporation, J&K was given a warm send-off.
