#FUNFETE ✨ Bride Jaymie Polet had been in love with the Field Museum @fieldmuseumspecialevents since helping put on a charity event there for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital @stjude @fieldmuseum pre-COVID; when she and her groom Michael McGlocklin walked through it as a wedding venue they signed a contract on the spot. ✨ Months later, with a tulip bouquet in hand (in homage to her father’s Dutch heritage), Jaymie walked down the aisle to Justin Bieber’s “Lifetime.” Her uncle married them under a chuppah and, when the ceremony concluded, he unveiled a glistening red sequin vest beneath his robe and announced, “Let’s party!” ✨ A delectable meal @fftchicago and the traditional hora kicked off the fun, fueled by espresso martinis and an elaborate late-night Lays chip and dips bar, “our guests stayed on the dance floor @bkobeatmix @beatmixmusic until the last second,” Jaymie says. #modluxweddingschi // Photography @amandamegmiller

North Shore couple Soumaya Majout and Winslow Bent celebrated the bride’s Moroccan heritage with a stunning multicultural wedding soirée. “We wanted the party to feel like being in a dream, with subtle notes of Islamic design and Moroccan vernacular,” the couple shares. “The inspiration was Casablanca meets North Shore,” adds planner Michelle Durpetti @mdurpettievents. Everything was designed with the intention of welcoming. The newlyweds hosted 80 guests at a private estate for a dreamy stateside reception @hmrdesigns after their Islamic wedding ceremony overseas in Belgium with the bride’s family.
