our CEO and Founder Lady Anne Welsh recently presented the Special Recognition for Leadership in Mental Health Research Award at The Caribbean & African Health Network Event. Raising awareness and celebrating the achievements of Black healthcare professionals from across all corners of the United Kingdom.
Already through this process, these awards have highlighted the amount of passion, energy, quality, and determination of the Black community to deliver excellent healthcare services to all,l.
Since the inception of the National Health Service (NHS) 76 years ago and coinciding with the embarking of HMT Empire Windrush, many Black Caribbean and African people have played a central and important role to sustain NHS servicesall over the UK. In some parts of the UK, we have over 42% representation of people from our community working in some health and care organisations. Yet, it is often the case on a national stage that those talents, assets, and high-quality contributions go unrecognised. we are glad that is changing this. The Black Healthcare Awards recognises individuals who have established themselves as outstanding in their practice, with unrivalled determination to make a difference to all as they fulfil their vocation.

Last week, our CEO and Founder, Lady Anne Welsh was delighted to join the Inwest in African Energy" reception hosted by the African Energy Chamber at the Four Seasons Hotel, London, at Park Lane.
Thank you to the founder for your ongoing commitment to the continent.
The evening provided a valuable opportunity to network with industry leaders and global investors from companies such as Vital, Africa Oil Corp, Premier Invest, and ERHC Energy Inc. Together, we explored Africa's dynamic energy opportunities and discussed strategies to drive sustainable growth across the continent.
African Energy Week (AEW) is the African Energy Chamber's annual event, uniting African energy leaders, global investors and executives from across the public and private sector for four days of intense dialogue on the future of the African energy industry.

At Painless Universal, our thoughts are with the Princess of Wales as she continues to recover from her cancer treatment. After reviewing Kate's statement, here are the methods she is using to remain painless:

Kindness - ‘I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months.

Family - It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times.

Understanding your Good and Bad days- 'I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. ‘On those bad days, you feel weak, tired, and you have to give in to your body resting. ‘But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well. ‘My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months.

Finding joy through activities when you are well - ‘On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home.

Attending special events- I'm looking forward to attending The King's Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet.

Learning to be patient with your healing - I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. ‘Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal.

Appreciation - Thank you so much for your continued understanding, and to all of you who have so bravely shared your stories with me.'

It’s important during healing to have and live by these qualities to make your recovery easier and painless.
