ಪ್ರವಾಹದ ಮುನ್ನೆಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಪ್ರವಾಹ ಎದುರಿಸಲು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತ ಸಕಲ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ ನಡೆಸಿದೆ. 20 ಜನರ ಎನ್‌ಡಿಆರ್‌ಎಫ್‌ ತಂಡ 4 ಬೋಟ್‍ಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾಹ ಎದುರಿಸಲು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಈಗಲೇ ತಾಲೀಮು ನಡೆಸಿದೆ. ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ನದಿ ಪಾತ್ರದ 105 ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಕಟ್ಟೆಚ್ಚರ ವಹಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣಾ, ತುಂಗಭದ್ರಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಭೀಮಾ ನದಿಗಳಿಂದಾಗುವ ಹಾನಿ ಎದುರಿಸಲು ಪೂರ್ವ ತಯಾರಿ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದು, 34 ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿಗಳ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಪತ್ತು ನಿರ್ವಹಣಾ ಸಮಿತಿ ರಚನೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಒಂದು ದಿನದ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಲಿಂಗಸುಗೂರು, ದೇವದುರ್ಗ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಯಚೂರು ತಾಲೂಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರವಾಹ ಎದುರಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಮೂರು ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ನದಿ ಪಾತ್ರದ ಊರುಗಳ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರ ಮೇಲೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತ ನಿಗಾವಹಿಸಿದೆ.ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ನಡುಗಡ್ಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯರು, ಬಾಣಂತಿಯರು, ವೃದ್ಧರು ಹಾಗೂ ರೋಗಿಗಳನ್ನು ಈಗಲೇ ಹೊರತರಲು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಡುಗಡ್ಡೆ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರಿಗೆ ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳ ಪಡಿತರ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗೆಯೇ ಕೊಡಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಆರ್.ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

District revenue minister who is also incharge for COVID-19 in the city said due to increasing cases in the city, he instructed DC to put city into complete lockdown and allow only two days a week to buy essential items and suggested the DC to tighten the lockdown and stop the movement of people in the city.

ರಾಯಚೂರು, ಮೇ. 14(ಕ.ವಾ):-
ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋವಿಡ್ -19 ಸೋಂಕನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣಕ್ಕೆ ತರುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೇ ಮೇ.16ರ ಭಾನುವಾರ, 17ರ ಸೋಮವಾರ ಹಾಗೂ 18ರ ಮಂಗಳವಾರದಂದು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಲಾಕ್ ಡೌನ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳು, ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಶಾಪ್ಗಳು, ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲ್ ಪಂಪ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರತುಪಡಿಸಿ ಇತರೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಖರೀದಿಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶವಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಮೇ.19ರ ಬುಧವಾರ ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ 6 ರಿಂದ 10 ಗಂಟೆಯವರೆಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಖರೀದಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡಲಾಗಿದೆ, ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಸಹಕರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತದ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ.

Amid the rising coronavirus cases in Karnataka, the state government wants to impose a complete lockdown on all weekdays, Chief Secretary P Ravi Kumar confirmed on Saturday. Kumar hinted that more lockdown-like measures will be implemented in Karanataka to curb the spread of COVID-19 and added that Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa’s Cabinet is expected to take a call on imposition of lockdown on Monday. “The Karnataka government wants to do it,” Chief Secretary P Ravi Kumar told Deccan Herald.

It is to be noted that along with the night curfew, the weekend curfew is also in place in Karnataka till Monday morning. “But, people don’t want it. People want everything to be let loose and their attitude is that those who are dying can die. What can we do?” Kumar said.

Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar also said that cabinet members will hold discussions over the imposition of tougher measures during the meeting on Monday. “All our Cabinet colleagues will express their opinions. Finally, the CM and Cabinet will decide,” Sudhakar said.

After healthcare and frontline workers such as police, armed forces and municipal workers, the third category to be vaccinated is likely to be people over the age of 50, followed by those who are below 50 but suffer from co-morbidities.

A tentative prioritisation for vaccination was discussed at the meeting held between PM Modi and the state chief ministers on November 24 and has been communicated to state governments, said people familiar with the development, Economic Times reported.

A 50-year plus grouping appears to be an expansion of the earlier category that was under discussion. So far, the government officials had been saying this category would comprise 'senior citizens' and the 'elderly', and it was expected that this group would consist of people over the age of 65.

"In India, co-morbidities like hypertension, diabetes and coronary heart diseases occur much earlier than in western populations. So, prioritising the 50 plus population is the right approach," Public Health Foundation of India president K Srinath Reddy was quoted as saying.

The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) had earlier this month approved Oxford Covid-19 vaccine Covishield, manufactured by the Serum Institute, and indigenously developed Covaxin of Bharat Biotech for restricted emergency use in the country, paving the way for a massive inoculation drive. This is the world's largest vaccination programme covering the entire length and breadth of the country.
