Great 8 bit demake of Bloodstained. This game goes straight into the action. Great for a quick play session. Controls are mostly great. The controls going up and down the stairs are wonky, which was pretty common for the NES so that might actually make it even more authentic. Beautiful 8 bit graphics. Great parallax scrolling effects. Ultimately I will be continuing the game so It passed the test!

This is clearly a multiplayer battle game so reviewing the game based solely on the single player experience is somewhat limited. The first 15 minutes of singleplayer was actually really well done. Instead of just having a basic AI, the game creators took the time to implement distinct enemies with different attach patterns and behaviors.

The art style is fun and colorful but very simple. Had some really cool looking parallax scrolling effect in some backgrounds.

Overall it was very fun. I will play it again when I have people over.

I used to play trine on the PS3 but now I bought 1-4 during the steam winter sale!
