Trauma (At any point in life) opens the door for the potential of all manner of spiritual attacks. The devil will use every seemingly weak point to enter a thought into your mind hoping you agree with it. The moment you agree, you've made a covenant too what you've agreed!

Reclusion? When you agree that you're better alone, thoughts of rejection enters, then depression and anger resentment becoming a victim then people will come into your life to confirm those things (deception) making you believe that you're right where you should with people who understand you. He leads you down a rabbit hole of lies and the more you agree with the more you attach to yourself.

I remember years ago at work snapping, SNAPPING snapping, on an obvious crackhead who had just so happened to be wearing a Marine Corps cover with the EGA in it and a Unit shirt. A unit shirt is usually created from a deployment or after combat. I approached him to secretly question him asking things only someone who’s served would know. Once he made the mistake of answering wrong, I ask him I couple more incriminating questions knowing that he was going to answer wrong.

After that, I snatched the cover (hat) off of his head and made him take his shirt off and to never wear it again or I was going to break his face! FUMING, because in my mind I’ve served with men who’ve lost their lives behind this EGA recently, men I’ve known (in snapping out of survivor’s guilt), and he was having full conversations about his “service”.

That entire time, I hadn’t thought about my Christian faith not once. I’d completely laid it down for this infraction and didn’t care. I was looking for him to come in with SOMETHING on just so I can take off on him. The spirit of rage!

I said it to point out how we can have lethal loyalties to things that we a lot of times don’t have to the Most High God, Yahuah. We are willing to defend something and someone that did not give us life, die so that we can inherit everlasting lives, didn’t rescue us out of troubled times, bless us with new mercies every single day we wake, not knowing that we’re operating in idolatry!

I had to think, on Veterans Day there is no way to know if everyone wearing a hat they going, bought from a surplus store, got from a clothes bank that a vet donated to, and might be some of their only garments, that of they’d ever served or not

You cannot serve 2 masters. You will love on and hate the other. The Marines, hate to admit it because I have memories and forged bonds there, is an idol to me. There’s a sense of pride and pride goes before destruction. Who knows had something transpired from that interaction because of my pride might’ve taken me from my family.

We HAVE to forsake all of these things we hold tight to. We can have NO thing we place in high regard over the Father, casting down everything that exalts itself above, or that we exalt above the knowledge of Yahuah!

You don’t need Jesus to always show you in some drastic way to know He is the Lord, He has called you unto Him.

It’s the firm foundation where your faith is built! Hope does not disappoint us and it is in Him that we have our hope then see the evidence of that hope the more we stand on it!

Sometimes it’s really simple things that are nudging and we know it’s the truth because it pokes at something we would really like to hold onto instead of trusting that age knows what’s best for us and that’s when we’ve worked hard to allow Him to be Lord in control of our lives, when it’s feels good and when we are faced with swift transitions into adversity!

Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean NOT to your own understanding. Right? It might not be easy but trust what the Word of the Lord says and see that the Lord is GOOD!
