ICOMMUNICATE 17: Invictus Braveness and unity: two things that epitomize the logo of iCommunicate XVII: Invictus which dwell among the PUP- College of Communication as an institution. The banner, inspired by the image of the medieval flag, represents the academic freedom and identity of the college as "College of Champions" catering everlasting courage and power of human spirit. The lines inside the banner depict the image of a sword portraying bravery and boldness as weapons of individuals in times of adversity and darkness. The four consonants of Invictus: I, N, V, and, S, represent the four departments of COC—Jounalism, Broadcast Communication, Communication Research, and Advertising and Public Relations—that share the common goal of working hard and pursuing the best for every one. As the 17th volume of iCommunicate aims to portray the goodness, notability, and greatness of the College of Communication and its people, the colors gold, white, and dark red bring the fierce and strong visual representation of royalty as its main theme.
