Is your opponent incompetent (or maybe outright corrupt?) but they are going to get in anyway because they are running in the party in power?

Well, July 3rd thru July 15th are the Last Days that a any candidate to voluntarily withdraw from the general election ballot and the local party cannot appoint a replacement.

the general election ballot and the local party cannot appoint a replacement.
What I have done in the past is to print up the CAN-24 and ask to drop out of the race.
The reasons behind this why I do this:
1) We have staggering corruption here in Washington County, Indiana. If they are a Republican Candidate that made it through the primary, they will get into office no matter what their qualifications.
2) Most Candidates have no idea what they are walking into and what should be expected of them.
3) Not a bad person, just incompetent.
5) The campaign is going to be savage.

A note on checkbook balancing.
On the intense checkbook balancing issue, years ago it was important to be able to balance your checkbook because you couldn't see what was happening in your account without phoning or stopping by the bank to find out. Now all you have to do is keep track of your balance by checking your app on your phone. Even my Paypal card tells me when something happens in the account by both text and email so I know the second something happens.
