Wow!!! Whether you’re democrat or republican, this is HORRIBLE!!! No one should be dodging bullets while giving a speech to serve the country. We’re glad he wasn’t seriously hurt or even killed! This should be an eye-opener for everyone that WE NEED GUN CONTROL!!!

Former President Trump was rushed off the stage just minutes into his rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, after loud noises that sounded like gunshots were heard. Trump is currently safe and is expected to survive, according to two senior law enforcement officials briefed on the matter. He had blood on the side of his head and his ear.

Trump was speaking when he reached for the side of his face as popping sounds rang out over the rally. He then crouched down as Secret Service agents rushed the stage and surrounded him. He was quickly escorted into a vehicle, walking off the stage with agents on all sides.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic passing of Khyree Jackson, a promising NFL draftee with the Minnesota Vikings, at the age of 24. Khyree’s mother, confirmed his tragic death.

Selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, Khyree had a bright future ahead. His journey began at the University of Alabama before concluding at the University of Oregon, where he showcased his talent with impressive stats including 34 tackles, two sacks, and three interceptions in his final season.

Born in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, and a graduate of Dr. Henry Wise High School, Khyree Jackson’s promising career and life were cut short.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all of those whose lives he has impacted.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Marian Shields Robinson, mother of First Lady Michelle Obama. She was 86.

The former First Lady announced the news in a post on social media, sharing that her mother passed away this morning.

We pray God’s comfort for her family and the so many lives who were touched by her.

We are heartbroken to hear about the passing of HIV activist, Hydeia Broadbent. Hydeia made her debut on the Oprah Winfrey Show at age 6, sharing her story about how she contracted HIV at birth and was diagnosed at age 3 years old when she presented with severe multi organ infections. Since that time, she became an international advocate making efforts to destigmatize HIV and encourage HIV testing and treatment. She will be missed. Rest in peace, Hydeia!

Alright now, we need to stop sleeping on Andra Day! She killed it for the Super Bowl opening singing the Black National Anthem (although it wasn’t recognized as such… another conversation), and she’s been on the scene for a while. She sings the song “Rise Up” and also starred as Billy Holiday in the biopic “United States vs. Billy Holiday”. She made us proud tonight! 🙌🏾🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾

For Let’s Talk Through It, we have letters from two of our friends. Our first friend learned that the grass isn’t greener on the other side after leaving her job because it was boring for a job that gave her a lot more work for the same amount of money and now wants to ask her old boss for her old job back.. Our other friend retired from the military and became a franchisee of a food chain. While she loves being in charge of my own future is beginning to regret this decision because it's almost impossible to retain employees. It was a day that shook the world and left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of people across the globe. On the anniversary of this terrible event, it is important to remember the lives lost and the impact it had on our world.

Now, we have a question for you. Do you remember where you were and what you were doing when you first heard the news of the September 11 attacks? For most people, the memories of that day are still vivid and raw, even after all these years. It was a moment that changed our world forever and it's important to take a moment to reflect on it and honor those who were affected by this tragedy.
