UPDATE ON ALEX OFORI, A PUBLIC INTEREST STORY:

This is Alex Ofori. Alex was relocated to Accra from Bobikuma for mentorship by Mr. Ibrahim Mahama. He’s being mentored in the area of construction and mining. This was after a video of Alex went viral last September. Young Alex who resided in extremely less privileged community of Bobikuma near Swedru in the Central Region, was seen in the viral video telling the world how life is difficult for him but he’s hoping to become successful in life like Mr. Ibrahim Mahama.

Mr. Ibrahim Mahama’s attention was brought to the video and he quickly instructed his team to look for Alex and bring him to Accra for mentorship.

As part of the mentorship and practical training, Alex officially started work last October. He’s under the direct supervision of Engineer John. Young Alex is part of our team of trainee engineers working at our various projects across the capital and other cities.

Alex Ofori story is part of public interest stories because his video was discovered on social media through a blogger .

IBRAHIM MAHAMA AND DZATA CEMENT DONATE TO 12,500 HOMES IN OTI REGION, BONO EAST AND AFRAM PLAINS CONSTITUENCIES:

The Chief Executive Officer of Engineers & Planners and Dzata Cement, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama on Sunday, October 29, donated relief items to more victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage. The team representing Mr. Ibrahim Mahama was welcomed with a durbar by the Chiefs, Queen mothers, The MP’s, representatives of political parties and the good people of the affected communities. The durbar was held at the main Dambai Lorry station. Mr. Ibrahim Mahama’s donation is the biggest support yet from an individual or any institution to the displaced people some of whom are having to lodge in schools, tents, churches and mosques because their homes were massively flooded following the Akosombo Dam spillage.

The Business Magnate and Dzata Cement delegated a team to donate the relief items to the affected communities. The items included 12,500 bags of 5kg rice, 18,000 cans of Mackerel, 9,000 bottles of cooking oil and 18,000 cans of tomato paste.

Speaking at the durbar on behalf of the team, Rafik Mahama Aide to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, said helping the needy and giving back to society is one act Mr. Ibrahim Mahama does with passion and dedication. He added that Mr. Ibrahim Mahama and his companies always reached out to individuals and communities who are vulnerable or in need. He said the items ll be distributed to those affected by the Dam spillage in Oti Region, Bono East and Afram Plains constituencies.

Receiving the items on behalf of the community, the Paramount Chief of Chonke Traditional Area, Dasebre Nana Kwame Bungya Atamafowiesi 11 thanked Mr. Ibrahim Mahama and Dzata Cement for the massive donation. He said this donation has brought more smiles to the people living in the affected communities. He said the items will be distributed equitably to various communities through their MP’s.

Speaking on behalf of the MP’s in the affected communities, Krachi West MP, Hon. Helena Adjoa Ntoso thanked Mr. Ibrahim Mahama and his team for their support for the affected communities. Hon. Helena Adjoa Ntoso assured the team from the Business Mogul that, there will be equitable distribution of the items to all the affected communities. She said the intervention of Mr. Ibrahim Mahama was timely and much needed.

MR. IBRAHIM MAHAMA INVITES ALEX FROM SWEDRU FOR MENTORSHIP AFTER VIRAL VIDEO:

Mr. Ibrahim Mahama yesterday invited Master Alex Ofori from Bobikuma near Swedru for mentorship after a video of Alex went viral last weekend. Young Alex who resides in extremely less privileged community of Bobikuma was seen in the viral video telling the world how life is difficult for him but he’s hoping to become successful in life like Mr. Ibrahim Mahama.

Mr. Ibrahim Mahama attention was brought to the video and he quickly instructed his team to look for Alex and bring him to Accra for mentorship.

Processes have started to relocate Alex to Accra for his mentorship to start after today’s meeting in Accra. Alex ll be mentored in the area of construction and mining. Mr. Ibrahim Mahama also supported Alex family in Bobikuma with food items and substantial amount of cash.

H.E John Dramani Mahama earlier in the day invited Alex home for interactive and mentorship sessions.

MR. IBRAHIM MAHAMA WINS GHANA’S MINING AND ENGINEERING CEO OF THE YEAR:

The Chief Executive Officer of Engineers & Planners Ghana Limited, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama has been conferred Ghana’s Mining and Engineering CEO Of The YEAR, at the 7th Ghana CEO Summit 2023 The special ceremony happened today, Monday, 22nd May, 2023 at Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel. The special ceremony brought together all distinguished captains of industry across Ghana.

Mr. Ibrahim Mahama was awarded and specially recognized for inspiring business and economic transformation, contribution to the growth and development of mining and engineering sector and private sector businesses in Ghana and Africa. Other distinguished CEO’s across all private and public sector companies were awarded for their contributions towards business development in Ghana.

The awards were presented to both the private and public winners by H.E John Dramani Mahama, who was the special guest of honor for the special event.

E&P SIGNS $230m CATERPILLAR EQUIPMENT FINANCING AGREEMENT WITH THE MANSOUR GROUP:

African mining giant, Engineers & Planners has signed a $230m Caterpillar equipment financing with the Mansour Group of Dubai and Egypt.

The list of equipment under this facility include, 50 units of CAT 785, 30 units of CAT 777, 5 units of CAT 992K, 20 units of CAT D9R. Other equipments include, Water Bowsers, Fuel Bowsers, Motor Graders and Backhoes.

This agreement signed between the mining giant owned by Business Mogul, Ibrahim Mahama and Caterpillar is significant in changing the face of mining in Ghana and the Sub Sahara Africa.

E&P is a wholly Indigenous Ghanaian owned mining and construction contracting company headquartered in Accra, Ghana. Since its inception in 1997, E&P has successfully completed world class projects including road construction, mining projects, tailings dam construction, landfill site construction, leach pads construction, land reclamation amongst others. E&P has the capacity, experience and expertise to deliver on major hard rock mining projects. E&P has executed mining projects both in Ghana and in Liberia. Over the past 25 years E&P has gained considerable experience in hard rock mining. E&P is currently engaged in hard rock contract mining for Gold Fields Ghana Limited’s world class mine in Tarkwa, and Abosso Goldfields Limited in Damang. Between January 2010 and May 2014, E&P also undertook hard rock mining for Golden Star (Wassa) Limited. Most recently Abosso Goldfields Limited requested E&P to take over the Damang Complex Pit as the main mining contractor. The latest project for E&P is the Cardinal Namdini Mines in Bolgatanga.

UPDATE ON BROTHER LEONARD:

Upon the request of Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, Leonard arrived in Accra yesterday from Jirapa. He’s currently taking a rest and going through a procedure at a medical facility in East Legon. Mr. Ibrahim Mahama instructed we process Leonard for South Africa. Arrangements have been done in South Africa for him to receive special care and treatment. Processes have started for him to be flown to South Africa. That ll be done as soon as the documentations are done in few days time.
