The City of Batac National High School Poblacion received 10 laptops, 10 PLDT Home WI-FI, and 10 printers from Gabay G**o and PLDT-Smart Foundation, yesterday, November 3, 2019.

Ilocos Norte Vice Governor Cecilia Araneta Marcos and Senior Board Member Medeldorf Gaoat together with PLDT Smart Managers Ms. Ona Medina, Mr. Leonides Nivado, and Ms. Janice Lagaso were present during the gift-giving.

Dr. Joel B. Lopez and Dr. Annie D. Pagdilao, Schools Division Superintendent and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, respectively, together with Mrs. Nemalyn M. Ulep, Chief of the SGOD also graced the occasion.

PLDT-Smart Foundation Gabay G**o is an education arm and flagship program project of the PLDT-Smart Foundation, in partnership with the PLDT Managers’ Club, Inc., to produce better teachers who can cultivate young minds and improve the state of education in the country.

“Our school is very much grateful for this gift of love you have given us. Rest assured that it will be used properly and it will elevate the quality of education suited for our 21st century learners,” expressed Mrs. Connie Marie Angelie Mae P. Balignasay, school principal of the recipient school.

Maipalig-Quiom Elementary School successfully hosted the benchmarking activity conducted by the different schools of the Schools Division of Laoag City. About 200 educators participated in the said activity.
MQES presented its initiatives, best practices, and accomplishments in instructional innovations and school governance.

As per information from the organizers and from PGIN, please be advised that the Gabay G**o Teacherfest 2019 (the training in Laoag City Auditorium and North Stellar Batac,and the concert at the Centennial Arena) scheduled on Dec. 4, 2019 is indefinitely postponed due to Typhoon Tisoy.

JUST IN: CSDB conducts the SPOTTEd 2019 ( Skills, Performances, Outputs/Outcomes and Talents Together for Education, at Hilario Valdez Memorial Elementary School, October 23.

The activity aims to recognize the top 10 most creative and innovative student-reserachers from JHS and SHS who will represent the Division to the Regional Science and Technology Fair on November 23; top 3 most creative and innovative pupils/students from elementary and secondary schools in Science, English and Araling Panlipunan; top 3 most creative and innovative Science, English and Araling Panlipunan teachers; and top 3 best e-sim/sim/travelogue/module in Science, English and Araling Panlipunan.

This was given emphasis by the Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Joel B. Lopez, as he welcomed the participants from the 33 public elementary and secondary schools of the division during the opening program of the 4-day seminar dubbed as One CSDB: Capability-Building for a Unified Quality School-based Management System in Schools at the North Stellar Hotel and Events Place, October 9.

To achieve the ISO 9001:2015 for all the schools of the division, the SDO invited Madam Marivic Mediavillo as the consultant.

The activity is scheduled from October 9-12.

In culmination to the month-long event dedicated for the teachers, the City Schools Division of Batac celebrated World Teachers' Day on October 4, 2019 at the Imelda Cultural Center.

One of the highlights of the event was the launching of the CSDB march 'Agtayaktak, DepEd Batac' composed and conducted by Dr. Joel B. Lopez, newly appointed CSDB superintendent.

Child's rights are everybody's business.
This was emphasized by Mrs. Aileen Joaquin, one of the speakers during the conduct of the Division Training on Child Protection Policy and Positive Discipline in Teaching.

The training aims to capacitate teachers on the fundamentals of child protection and positive discipline in teaching and to effectively actualize the provisions of other legal bases on the protection of children's rights for a safe, secured and sanity place for learners to enjoy learning from the beginning of school year and onwards.

The training was scheduled on September 3-4 and 17-18 for Batch 1 and 2, respectively.

The City Schools Division of Batac thru the School Governance and Operations Division conducted the two-day Division Training-Workshop on Cyber Safety. The training aims to capacitate teachers on the fundamentals on child online protection.

The training-workshop was scheduled on September 2-3 and September 16-17, Batch 1 and 2 respectively.

COMELEC conducts Mandatory Satellite Registration at CBNHS Poblacion today in preparation for the May 11, 2020 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.

The registration is applicable to 15 years old students on or before the said elections.

The satellite registration team will be at Batac National High School on September 23, 2019 and at General Artemio Ricarte Sr. High School on September 24, 2019, 1:00-5:00PM.

To capacitate the Bids and Awards committee (BAC) chairman, property custodian, bookkeeper, and the schoolheads of the different public schools of the City Schools Division of Batac on the concepts of school Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses management and on the basic and essential concepts of Republic Act 9184 or the Procurement Law, the Office of the Schools Division Superintendent through the Finance Service Section and the Cash and Property Unit of the Administrative Services Section conducted an intensive training on School Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses on September 11-14 at Metro Vigan Inn, San Vicente , Ilocos Sur.

One of CSDB's partners Mr. Jim Tuscano launched his education advocacy titled yesterday at Xavier School, San Juan. This advocacy aims to celebrate and elevate the teaching profession and the Filipino teachers.
Mr. John Paul Manuel Viernes, a Master Teacher of the Maipalig-Quiom Elementary School joined the empowerED conference and talked about the division's story in reaching out leaners and educators through effective technology integration. Mr. Viernes is also one of the guests in the empowerED podcast season 1 which you can now subscribe to spotify and apple podcast. Another platform of this advocacy is the empowerED YouTube Channel, its a video guides on teaching strategies and how-to-use videos for apps in class.
