Here it is!! ‘Into Practice’ is out now on Bandcamp, where you can listen and download in full

‘Into Practice’ is a multiform compilation featuring music, sound art, poetry and prose. It is our first release to have a physical format and our first to branch out beyond the existing roster to include a wider set of artists. The whole thing is tied together by our mysterious and reluctant narrator Twix Applegate/Darryl Applehands (who?).

We are now taking orders for downloads and cds, each of which are individually drawn and numbered and have handwritten tracklisings and credits.

FRIENDS OF THE MONDAY TABLE - EPONYMOUS EP:

The duo of Alex Clarke and Lloyd Bolton (Third Year[s]; Van Mildert) have today released their self-titled debut EP “Friends of the Monday Table”.

Composed of three tracks (“The First Sleep and the First Dream”, “Emily’s Imaginary Scales” and “Lighthouse”) the EP functions as a vehicle to enter into the technically challenging world of the musicians’ last year. ‘This EP took shape’, frontman Lloyd Bolton recalled to DOMAN, ‘via occasional lockdown-permitting sessions and email exchanges[, each containing] individual stems of songs for remote recording’. These jams, therefore, were ‘largely improvisation[al]… [until being] gradually refined to something more structured’.

The duo’s tracks from this EP will also be available on Kitchen Practice Records’ own compilation album, “Into Practice”, along with groups such as Spider Noises, Pink Poison & Women’s Fashion.

Announcement 2/2: This is the big one: On 2nd July, we will be releasing ‘Into Practice’, a multi-form compilation featuring Kitchen Practice artists and selected contributors.

Multi-form, you say? Indeed, for the album features a range of musical styles alongside poetry, prose and sound art pieces. This is perhaps our most ambitious project yet and we can’t wait to share it with everyone. Watch this space for more details in the coming weeks…

Year in Amber, the excellent new single from Spider Noises will be out everywhere on 2nd April. The song features Blossom Caldarone on cello and backing vocals and is backed with a tidy little number called Jane's Train Driver Husband.
