The Nasik Caves, or sometimes Pandavleni Caves , state Maharastra , INDIA Are a group of 23 caves carved between the 1st century BCE and the 3rd century CE, though additional sculptures were added up to about the 6th century, reflecting changes in Buddhist devotional practices mainly.

Tourists have to climb nearly 200 steps to reach the top and enjoy the breathtaking views.

The cave has images of Buddha, Bodhisattva, sculptures representing the King, farmers, merchants and rich iconography depicting a beautiful amalgamation of Indo - Greek architecture.

The site has an excellent ancient water management system and skillfully chiseled out of solid rock are several attractive water tanks

The Pashupati Seal is a steatite seal which was uncovered in the 1928–29 Archaeological Survey of India excavations of the Indus Valley Civilisation site of Mohenjo-daro. The seal depicts a seated figure that is possibly tricephalic (having three heads). The man has a horned headdress and is surrounded by animals, by many archaeologists it is considered as the first Historical depiction of Lord Shiva in any of the excavations found in India.

Yaganti Temple, Andhra Pradesh

Sri Yaganti Uma Maheswara Temple or Yaganti is a temple of Shiva in Kurnool District in the India state of Andhra Pradesh. It was built according to Vaishnavaite traditions.

This temple was constructed by King Harihara Bukka Raya of the Sangama Dynasty of the Vijayanagara Empire in the 15th century.

Bhojeshwar Temple, Bhojpur, MP

Mukteshwar Temple, Bhuvaneshwar:
The Naga King with the Amrit/Ratna Kumbh ~

Here are two very interesting sculptures from two subsidiary shrines of the Mukteswar Temple Campus, Bhubaneswar that portrays Nagas holding a pot.

It seems from its appearance that the pot is very precious. Either it can be the Amrit Kumbh (the Pot containing Nectar) or it can be the Ratna Kumbh (the pot containing the precious jewels).

If this portrayal is related to the story of the Nagas guarding the Amrit Kumbh before Garuda obtained it, then it is a sculpture of Naagraj with the Amrit Kumbh.

And if this portrayal is related to the story of the Nagas guarding the precious jewels in Paataal Lok (Nether World) then it is a sculpture of Naagraj with the Ratna Kumbh.

Either way, these sculptures are very unique as far as the architecture and iconography is concerned.

This Temple is astonishing in its structural pattern, Famous for high-class terracotta decoration.

The terracotta relief panels are decorated with scenes from the Ramayana, Mahabharata & Krishna-Lila.

The Bishnupur temple complex consists of 20 temples.

The Shyama Raya Temple, built by Raghunath Singha in 1643 AD.
Bishnupur was the capital of the Malla dynasty of eastern India. They were ardent followers of Vaishnavism.
