Never had the chance to get him on the show, but Alan Rockman, a huge friend of the program, introduced me years ago. This guy has been at the top of the Country/Bluegrass genre with the Desert Rose Band and the early days of Rock/Country fusion with the Byrds, Flying Burrito Brothers, not to mention Manassas (Stephen Still's post CSNY band) and a host of other collaborations. Simply an amazing story. Happy Birthday Chris Hillman!

Dave Pela, my oldest friend (no, he's not the oldest friend I have, but I have known him the longest......but I digress.......) has a collection of KRIZ and KRUX top hits sheets from the late 50's through the mid 70's and he posted this one which is AWESOME! Look at the jocks represented in the photo above... and some Arizona legends to boot!

Come out to the breast cancer benefit at Final Round in Tempe today (Saturday) 11-10-12. I'm performing at 7:30pm for a 30 minute set and a whole slew of local musicians are playing all day from 3pm to 9pm, so stop on by! Its at the corner of Mill and Baseline.
