Our grandfather passed away in September it has been very hard on our family; our whole life he lived with us until this year we haven't known life without him. Along with other life challenges and heart aches that we've experienced, this is how this song was inspired. We found ourselves around the kitchen table and we wrote this song "Think About It" sometimes thinking about it, is all you can do...

The only one that ever ask me what's on my mind? Is Facebook, how ridiculous is that. And unfortunately for you I always feel the need to oblige.
Promotion management : oh boy here we go!
Get them rubber boots out, it's going to get deep. A good promotions manager will have experience in advertising and marketing with great project management and interpersonal
Skills. The job may include: negotiating contracts and fees, finding and booking events and venues that match the artist's career strategy, advising on career decisions, publicity and promotion, helping them on career decisions such as which record producer to work with, or which songs to perform, and managing media relations on all platforms ...
I have noticed that some artist and promotion managers fight against each other, and it's really sad. First and foremost the artist is paying good money for exposure but if you're not going to take advice and work together then save your money, otherwise it is money and time wasted.
A promotions manager wants an open market to work with, if the artist is going to become politically involved in election campaigns you just narrowed your fan base and reach. It's risky even for an established artist no one should forget the Dixie Chicks!
Just some food for thought.....KP

Good Morning
It's two days of early wake up calls. Pack necessary gear for the evening show. Packing performance clothes. Honey shots for the artist vocals. Time is ticking, can we get a cup of coffee? Hey, someone feed the animals it'll be morning before we're home. I'm missing a button brake out the needle and thread. Don't forget to pack the bologna for lunch and dinner. Hey, guys it's hump day, only 2 more to go and we get a break and we can mow the property. 😁❤🎶🎵🎤🤘 Hey, did we pay the electric bill?....lol

The topic that several of my colleagues have continued to bring to the table of conversation is; Is social Media advertising equal to buying likes? Fill free to voice your opinions as I am going to share mine. There is such a thin line to follow in marketing an artist, it is easy to cross boundaries. I would advise any artist that is self marketing on social media to focus on quality vs quantity in your campaign scope. When you look at quality = narrow targeting zones and quantity = broadened target zones vs. The artist work ratio and current fan reach will tell if your likes are real or purchased. You should automatically be boosting post, events, as well as your page to friends of friends, that’s a given, be specific in your target zones always. You should be boosting within a 100 mile radius of gig locations you currently work, as you move out so does your target zones. A healthy steady growth will land you job security, sponsorships, and fan following. Large numbers might get you in the door but doesn’t guarantee you’ll be back. Kid Rock said it best, “They say I'm cocky, and I say What?
It ain't braggin' __________ if ya back it up”.
if you’re playing one state and all your likes are from another country you need to turn your porch light on because it looks like no one’s home.
But that’s my opinion. What’s yours?

What separates one great performer from another?
Every song begins from a personal experience or possibility. Then the troubadour with pencil in hand puts it on paper. Then sets it aside comes back scratches out erase and rewrite. Then music is set to it. Then it is arranged, will it be a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or a 1- 5. Will it end with a trash can or a ring out. How will the crescendo be implemented? Will there be individual solos? What special effects will be applied during performance: pyrotechnics, smoke, lights. Where will the song be placed in the set? Will it be an introduction 1 or 2, a set apart 3, a crowd pleaser 4-6, a call to action 7-8, or a conclusion 9-10. Now it's time for practice hours and hours, followed by rehearsals timing, props, stage readiness, vocal delivery. I watched an interview of Henry Olusegun Adeola Samuel, known professionally as Seal, they asked him if he would consider acting. He said what do you think I do already? All to create a moment in your life to be remembered to become a mile marker for you.
Remember this the next time you request an artist to play a cover!
Thanks❤

What's on my mind? That's a deep topic!
I often have artist ask me to help them or for advice. The most important advice I can offer an artist is "get exposure"! Mistakes a lot of artists just starting out make is:
Over pricing themselves.
Having a lack of respect for social media.
Not rehearsing and trust me it's different from practice.
They lack in original music.
They allow the crowd to control their stage.
And they lack in stage presence.
They don't advertise enough if any.

When you're booking realize that social media is a must and SIZE MATTERS!
Most festivals won't even consider you if you aren't at a tier 2 level.

Let's back up and talk about what the tier levels mean for you the artist and the venue.

Tier
1. Less than a 1000 likes
No attention worthiness.

2. 2000 - 5000 likes
A local band that has invested into their career.

3. 5000 - 10,000 likes
A regional band that has a level of success.

No need to go beyond this point!

To succeed you must work every angle of the business. You may have a great voice or be the next great guitarist. But this business isn't for the week minded or the tender foot. The average person doesn't recognize music as a career choice. You'll be harrassed and berated by many people. Asked when you're going to get a real job. If this doesn't drive you away then let me welcome you to the dance floor hell cause you will be 2 stepping on coals of fire. Sleep will become a thing of the past. You'll never listen to the radio the same way because your mind will go to work. Struggle will follow you like it's your shadow. So suck it up buttercup and let the gigging begin!
