โค๏ธ Self Love may sound soft and fluffy but itโs one of the most important healthy attitudes you can take to heal your life. ๐ฅฐ
I was having a conversation with someone and they were getting very upset with the state of the world. I reminded them that life is cyclic and to understand that more, we need to connect with nature. Only when we connect with nature, even if itโs just by thought, we can then realise we are all part of it, we are not outside of it.
Where does self love come in? If we are nature, then look at another living being, why wouldnโt you love a flower, a river, your dog! There is no reason to hate or judge any of these living beings. However, we judge ourselves 80% of the time. They say that we have 40,000 negative thoughts a day and 95% of those are from the day before - we donโt let them go. Like all beings, we look to survive and fulfil our purpose, however, instead of questioning ourselves chronically, why donโt we be like the flower, the river or the doggie and enjoy the moment, trust life and give love to others and to yourself.
Here are 3 ways to kick start your self-love practice: ๐ฅฐ
1. Write down all the things you love and donโt love about yourself. Find the reason WHY you must have the things you donโt like because they have been an important part of your life in making you YOU, embrace ALL of you.
2. Put your hand on your heart and leave it there for a minute or two, feel the heat, feel the connection to your heart and soul - the truth. Then ask for all your thoughts to funnel through and leave only that which is in your highest good. I would do this daily
3. Be a half glass full person today and every other day if you can.
