It's National Volunteer Month and you all know I'm a firm believer in helping others - I am partnering with The Home Depot Foundation to bring awareness to the importance of volunteering for the month of April. Team Depot gives back to their community in a BIG way. Since 2011, they have partnered with more than 10,000 non-profit organizations and their associates have spent more than 2 million hours giving back to their communities. THAT IS AMAZING! You all know I love volunteering for a good cause. I'm partnering with The Home Depot Foundation to rebuild a mudkitchen for a sweet family. Theirs was destroyed in a tornado that hit our community back in December. They are a military family and dear friends of mine. I hope that it brings a smile to their faces knowing that others are there for them in the time of need. (yes) • The purpose of a mud kitchen is to provide children with a natural and open-ended play environment that encourages creativity, imagination, and sensory exploration. By engaging in hands-on activities like mixing mud and water, children can develop their motor skills, learn about cause and effect, and enhance their understanding of the world around them. Additionally, being outdoors and connecting with nature offers various physical and mental health benefits for children.
