We are so grateful to all our followers and everyone that has been so supportive of our show. We cannot believe we made 10 episodes of this podcast. It has been a lot of fun to record together and share our thoughts with all of you. Unfortunately, we are going to be taking a hiatus from the show for now. We are both dealing with our own personal issues. 2020 has been a rough year for all of us. When we return we might look and sound different but we think it is for the best. We will keep everyone posted on the status of the show but for now we need a break.

A final word; Rest In Peace Chadwick Boseman. He was such a talented actor putting in great performances in movies like 42, Black Panther and most recently Da 5 Bloods. If you have not seen Da 5 Bloods, I highly recommend you watch it. It is a Spike Lee Joint on Netflix. Boseman puts in a larger than life performance into his role in that film. Wakanda Forever! Gone too soon. ✊🏿✊🏼

Today I wanted to finally start reading The Sandman by Neil Gaiman. Unfortunately another tragedy has occurred in our nation. We will need to educate ourselves on the situation regarding Jacob Blake. You will hear our thoughts on the matter in Monday's episode. It breaks our hearts that him surviving after being shot numerous times is considered “good news”. The same cannot be said for the two protestors that had their lives taken. We are still learning about the situation. If we have excluded any details it is because we personally do not know everything at this time.

Superman III (1983): $5,000,000 Can't Buy A Good Performance

Do you love terrible effects, performances that feel like there's a gun offscreen pointing at the actors, AND seeing one of the few true duds in Richard Pryor's filmography? If so, you're in luck! Join your hosts this week as they dive into why it's so hard to make a Superman movie, the problem with banking on a leading man instead of a good script, and a glimpse into why Superman is so important to our culture.

Hardball (2001): Keanu Did Not Reach These Kids

Join your hosts this week as they mourn their memories of this movie, the problem with focusing on the wrong aspects of hardship, and question why this movie was made if it couldn't be rated R.

Lethal Weapon (1987) In this episode, your hosts try to come to terms with laughing at a cop with nothing to lose and the problems with policing in America. The world is on fire in 2020 and the only thing your hosts can do is try and make sense of the smoke signals. Rest in power, George Floyd.

Song of the South (1946) is a movie that Disney would hope you don't know exists even though they rereleased it more times than Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, and Fantasia combined. Thankfully, your hosts know better and dig this movie up as they discuss slavery, the antebellum and post civil war South, and the bad luck of certain child actors.

Welcome to A Black And White Review! Join your hosts Damon Ware (a black) and Kevin Schneider (a white) as they explore the ever-increasingly taboo topic of race through their passion: movies with black and white leads. We started this podcast because we kept getting frustrated with the dumb opinions people share online. Now we get to share our own dumb opinions and hopefully make people realize that nothing is truly black and white.
