Severe Weather Outlook by the National Weather Service for 3/31/2023 (Friday) into the overnight hours of 4/1/2023 (Saturday)
All modes of severe weather are on the map, ranging from 1-5 severe threat. The biggest concerns we are looking at is the potential for damaging winds, and widespread power outages. Isolated Tornadoes are probable for our western counties, but those within the Level 2 our chances for an isolated tornado can't be ruled out, at a 5% chance, definitely not zero, so definitely worth keeping eyes on. Our eastern counties have a 2% chance of an iso tornado popup. Make sure your phones are charged, and you have a plan in place to get to a safe spot if needed, and a way to receive Weather Notifications.

concern is located just west of Hytop, AL.

shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Bridgeport around 1240 PM CST.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Bass,
Jericho, Russell Cave National Monument, Long Island, Estillfork,

MADISON AND SOUTHEASTERN LINCOLN COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The tornadic thunderstorm which prompted the warning has moved out
of the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 PM CST for north central
Alabama...and Middle Tennessee. A Tornado Watch also remains in
effect until 400 PM CST for northeastern Alabama...and Middle
Tennessee.

* At 1154 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located near Huntland, or 14 miles northeast of Moores
Mill, moving northeast at 60 mph.

Radar Loop (2/16/2023 4:38PM) Showers and storms are starting to make their way into our neck of the woods. This is a weather aware day for most of us in the viewing area. The highest threats are going to be damaging winds in excess of 60MPH as well as the potential for an isolated tornado. Also, Most of us will see roughly 1-3 inches of rain from this, this could bring us localized flooding to some parts of the area.

The National Weather Service has issued a TORNADO WATCH for several counties in our area, including Hamilton and Marion in Tennessee. This also includes numerous other counties around us in East Tennessee and northern Alabama. This watch is currently in effect until noon Eastern/11AM Central time.

The outlook for today (Saturday) has been updated, extending the slight risk area to the east a bit. Stay weather aware as the morning hours progress!
