Check out this truly amazing story of what freelancing can do for a mama with special needs kids. She’s able to take her work with her, set her own hours, and figure out her own pay. All while taking care of her kiddos. Love this.

This girl is someone I’ve been watching closely for the last 6 months or so! She’s a CPA who’s now making much more than she did in her top notch corporate job (over 45 hours per week) by now strategically working 10 hours per week at home. That’s less than what she used to spend DRIVING to her job. Insane!!!

The reason I follow her story so closely is that she has a service based business (like me!), she really knows her numbers and keeps track of them, and she just makes sense. She’s the real deal. She offers tons of advice and encouragement for those interested in keeping their businesses profitable.

I was recording as a podcast guest this week when I had a revelation I hadn’t quite pieced together yet.

I now WORK in a week the hours I used to COMMUTE. 🤯

This realization for me has been incredibly powerful.

My story is a little more fortunate than most, as I was in the right place at the right time and had the option to quit my corporate job and get paid generously to do so exactly a month before my first child was born.

I didn’t enter my business juggling a career. I didn’t do it desperate or scared. I simply released and then followed and maximized opportunities as they presented themselves, never sacrificing my life to do so.

And I realize how incredibly fortunate my journey has been.

But I’m not special.

I never envisioned for myself the life I have now and it makes me incredibly grateful every day.

But I believe what I’ve done can be done by anyone who believes it’s possible, who protects their boundaries, and who honors their “non-negotiables”.

My group grew by 100 this week as I posted about my profits and hours worked in another.

Many people said they’d like to know more, so I invited them to my community and tonight @ 9pm EST after the kids are in bed I’m going to be hanging out live sharing my journey candidly with zero pitch.

I’m an accountant, not a business coach.

I’m a month away from welcoming my third child and not even accepting new clients for the moment. I am launching nothing.

I invite you there so you can take what I’ve done and apply it to your skill set and your dreams.

For a very long time, I was afraid to be a boss.

Afraid to call the shots.
