The Porta Palatina, improperly but commonly known by the plural name of Porte Palatine (Pòrta Palatin-a or Tor Roman-e in Piedmontese), is the ancient Porta Principalis Sinistra that allowed access from the north to the Iulia Augusta Taurinorum, or the Roman civitas today known as Turin.
