Postcard Press is committed to turning tourists into travelers and bringing the world to our readers. The project: to develop a hypothetical publishing press.
That’s why, at Postcard Press, we aspire to offer a more complete view of each unique location by sharing its stories and delving into its history. Postcard Press was born out of our first graduate school project at The George Washington University. The concept: a cultural travel press that goes deeper than most commercial travel publishers and that seeks to turn tourists into educated, thoughtful
, and respectful travelers. We aspire to reach an audience who wants to do more than skim the surface of a destination and, instead, immerse themselves in the culture of a new location so that they can fully experience it.

This is because "Yule" was long associated with the Winter Solstice, the darkest day of the year, making it the opportune time for the dead to re-visit the Earth.
