Elamora Studio One-woman* design studio & poster shop

* plus a couple of baller freelancers I have nearly ten years of professional experience as a designer, so not to worry.

I’ve got you. I work with you from start to finish to ensure that you’re a happy camper throughout the process and, more importantly, with the finished product.

WEB & DIGITAL
Websites and digitally published materials are the future, and the future is now. My developer and I work hand-in-hand to make sure what you need is designed and developed to perfection. BRANDING & IDENTITY
For companies who are on the verge of an existential meltdown, fear not. I'll turn your 1995 Word Art into a stunning, innovative and contemporary identity that will tell your story beautifully. PRINT
Like Bob Barker, print is still very much alive and kicking. Whether you need a magazine, poster, or any other print materials designed, this is my jam. WEDDINGS & EVENTS
For an unmarried woman, my level of experience in the wedding industry is impressive...and ironic. From custom invitations and signage to favors and labels, I've got you covered.

Good morning and happy Wednesday, all! Just a quick update since I haven't posted in awhile; you may have noticed I did not publish a new issue of Ladies First last month. Unfortunately my schedule has been so jam-packed with other projects that my beloved zine had to take a backseat. It's a good problem to have to be busy, but I'm hoping I can get back to LF very soon.

In the meantime, I'll be updating my website within the next month or so (that is already in progress so hopefully this post will hold me to that deadline). Thanks for being a fan and thanks for reading this whole thing if you still are yay!

LADIES FIRST: Fall 2017

It's finally here: the debut issue of LADIES FIRST! I'm a complex mixture of elated and terrified today, as this is my first foray into publishing. However, through engaging with and learning more about the creative pursuits of the incredible, passionate and talented women I've featured in here, the feelings of elation are definitely winning out. Thank you SO MUCH to all of the talented femmes who submitted their work: Alex J. Murd, Maria Lindsey, Kassandra Davis, Marie L. Uherek, Lori Davis and Amber Leigh -- without every single one of you, this zine would be nothing.

Be sure to check out the last page for info on the Winter 2018 issue (hint: there's a theme) and for those interested in submitting their work, email [email protected]!

I'm currently going through my first wave of submissions to Ladies First, and I've gotta say, "proud" is not a strong enough word to describe how I feel about knowing so many fabulous, talented women. If you have anything you'd like to submit to the fall issue of my zine, please DM me or email [email protected]!

My next poster is going to be part of a series, and they're all going to be Harry Potter themed. And it's going to be dope. 🤓⚡️

Can Typography Be a Form of Protest?

In today's edition of Badassery in Design:

"Users type into the site, and the words are automatically scrambled into freaky digital type that refuses to work...it drives you insane, it just jumps from one thing to the next. It’s meant to be disruptive."

Emily Schofield’s Situationist Typography leapt out as a surefire highlight of this year’s London Design Festival for its nuanced letterform designs, careful use of color, and promise of investigations into a letter’s ability to “express protest.” That was enough to have us hooked, and then we dug a
