Looking for the next brunch spot in dc to get an amazing unlimited brunch experience with amazing food and drinks?
Look no further than Bodegon DC! I recommend just walking in and getting the full experience on the weekend but here’s what I ordered during my visit ;) :
French Toast~ features salted caramel and toffee (so good 😌)
Huevos Estrellados con Chistorra
Classic mojito and Madras Punch
You gotta try this experience! Stellar food, drinks, and service. Can’t wait to head back here again :)

Aside from Baklava I’ve never had Greek food before, but I love, love, love Baklava and trying alongside a Greek meal only made it that much better 😆.
If you’re looking for a good, authentic Greek meal in dc check out Souvlaki! The food here was amazing (I highly suggest the Spanokopita- pictured last) and I can finally say I can, I saw, and I conquered Greek cuisine!

It’s always the season for good eating, and Panera has amazing seasonal dishes out now to try! One of my favorites is the green goddess salad which has avocado, bacon, chicken, pickled red onion, egg, and the green goddess dressing which tastes amazing together!
This salad was super fresh and tasted amazing. It also paired extremely well with the pumpkin cookie, which definitely satisfied my sweet tooth. If you’re looking for the next thing to take a bite of before summer ends, head to Panera and try some of their summer salads or a flatbread pizza to end summer with a tasty bang!

Looking for a spot of tea, love? Then check out Soot of Tea!! Located inside Streets Market at NoMa, this tea spot has great flavors and great colors to satisfy every tea drinker from casual to expert brewers.
I tried the Nitro Tea Latte, and it was bursting with flavor! You could clearly taste the flavors of oolong, oat milk, and the salted cream cold foam on top as it drips into the drink. I’ll definitely be heading back soon to try more of their seasonal flavors!!

Noods? 👀 Yes please! I absolutely loved my visit to Yunan by Potomac’s Noodle House. Not only was the food absolutely delicious but the drinks were full of flavor and I was tempted to gulp them down in a few sips 😋.
If you haven’t been here before I highly suggest it! The food is amazing and the service is even better. You’ll leave feeling full after having had any of their dishes that are fresh and brimming with a multitude of flavors!
So check out this local, family-owned restaurant which is the first and only Yunnan cuisine restaurant in the Greater Washington area.

The summer is not complete without sweet treats! I am a lover of all things fruit and chocolate so when I found these beautiful dipped strawberries I couldn’t resist!
Kelsie is amazing at making color combinations and the attention to detail was so nice I almost didn’t want to eat them 😭 but every strawberry was fresh and delicious and I will definitely be a repeat customer!

Poffy? Yeah I’ve never heard of it either but boy is it good! Poffy in Mosaic sells Poffy or poffertjes, which are like baby Dutch pancakes! They have so many flavor options and ways to customize these bite size treats. I’m so excited to go back for more!

I haven’t visited a in so long, but boy am I glad I decided to stop at one today. Their new fried chicken sandwich is heat that can’t be beat 🔥. The sandwich itself is amazing and it’s got just the right combo of spice and flavor! If you haven’t given it a try I highly suggest it 😋

I already love mezeh so when I heard they had reimagined pizzas, I just had to check it out!!!
I was pleasantly surprised by how good these pizzas were. I wasn’t sure what to expect but the steak and egg pizza (top) absolutely blew me away! It was packed full of flavor and the crust was super thick 😋 can’t wait to head out again for more!

Had to post this amazing Mac and cheese from my brunch this past weekend at Rewind in DC.
First off the decorations in this place were crazy amazing so the Sakura flowers in the back were actually part of the wall decor! The Mac was super flavorful and cheesy! It even came in a skillet which I thought was pretty cool.

Oh my goodness! She’s back from the dead!! 💀💀
Ha, I haven’t been very active lately, have I? Life has been taking quite a toll on me with school, work, and just how exhausting it can be to be a full time human. That being said, I’m hoping to allocate more time to this page, because it fills me with joy! ☺️
I’ve also been working to transition to a somewhat plant based diet (going for about 50% plant based right now) and this is one of my successful dishes on my first day! This pesto Mac and cheese is ridiculously good and I honestly didn’t taste a difference between this and traditional Mac and cheese at first so I’m excited to try more dishes that utilize veggies and make my diet a little cleaner (and greener 😋)

Spring time is here and the hotter it gets, the more in the mood for ice cream I am 😋.
One of my favorite spots for ice cream is Jeni’s ice cream!! Their flavors are impeccable and the ambiance in their locations was lovely (I haven’t been since before rona, but when I went I loved it). So if you’re looking for a good spot for ice cream this is a great one!

Look at how the time has gone by! We’re already majority of the way through March which is crazy to me.
I know I haven’t been very active, but a lot has been happening including some very exciting news!! I have been chosen to cater cupcakes to a wedding in August! I’m so excited for this opportunity and I’ll definitely be posting more cupcake content as I try new things to perfect the recipes I had the couple try.
Pictured here is a carrot cake cupcake with brown sugar cream cheese icing (one of my absolute favorites)! If you haven’t had brown sugar in your icings before I highly suggest using some fresh sugar to spice up any icing and frosting recipe you have.

The cold weather has me reminiscing on warm foods that make your soup smile. This French onion soup from The Executive Diner is the first French onion soup I ever tried and definitely set the bar for all French onion soups I eat now. If you’re looking for a dish that is hearty and full of flavor I highly suggest this one!

Nothing makes a cold day better than a warm drink, and nothing makes a warm drink taste better than a cold day. 😂
Today’s drink of choice is a white hot chocolate from Starbucks! I’m someone who cannot have a lot of chocolate but I absolutely love hot chocolate. Starbucks makes one of the best white hot chocolates I’ve ever had that both me and my stomach enjoy. 😉

Day 11 & 12: Butter Cookies & Christmas Cookie Tin
Finishing up this festive theme with one of my absolute favorite holiday treats, butter cookies!! These cookies are simple to make and for extra pizazz I dip one end in white chocolate and cover that side with red and green sprinkles!

It was so nice watching them open them and seeing the joy on their faces ☺️. This year has been rough for everyone and I wanted to spread a little bit of joy the best way I know how. Day 10: Christmas Crack
Good things come to those who bake and Christmas crack is a good thing every baker can make this holiday season. This is a three layer beak consisting of saltine crackers, caramel, and white chocolate to make a sickeningly sweet treat that puts your traditional almond bark to shame!
Pro tip: add food coloring to your white chocolate to make the design really festive, every add sprinkles if you’re feeling frisky ;)

Day 9: Stained Glass Cookies
Tough cookies never crumble, and this glass don’t break! The ‘glass’ (or jolly ranchers) on this cookie is super sweet but also really cool to look through. Whatever’s in the other side is tinted that color and when light shines through it’s just like stained glass!

Day 8: Pretzel Bark Bites
Who doesn’t love but size versions of holiday favorites? This has to be one of the easiest and best ways to enjoy pretzel bark!
With only three ingredients the only bad part about these treats is that they take 2 hours to dry. All it takes is pretzel squares, peppermint Hershey kisses and green and red m&m’s to make this epic holiday treat!

You’ve heard of spice cake but what about spice cookies? This variation of cake mix cookies is so flavorful and perfect for people who like sweets that aren’t really sweet! The cookies taste exactly like spice cake and will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy after each bite.

Day 6: Lemon Bars
Now you might be thinking “lemon bars?!” But when life gives you lemons...these bars are the perfect way to make use of those sour flavors!
During the holidays Lemon bars are also a nice treat for people who don’t enjoy sociably sweet desserts (like I do 😂). These bars in particular were like sour patch kids; sour...then sweet. The sweetness was really subtle and made these the best lemon bars I’ve ever had!

Almost half way through the and rounding out some of the holiday classics with snickerdoodles! Who doesn’t love a snickerdoodle?
One of my tips for crispy edges and a soft center is to use melted butter when mixing your ingredients! A small change but it makes a world of difference!
