DGP says train passengers will avoid trying to avoid quarantine

State Police Chief Loknath Behra said that some people traveling by train from other states to Kerala will stop the journey before stopping at a few stations and stopping them in their vehicles.

The police are looking at such attempts to get rid of the quarantine. The Chief of State Police has directed the ADGP, Kozhikode Crime Branch IG and Traffic IG to take necessary action in this regard by talking to the Railway authorities.

It has been noted that those who come to Kerala from different countries overseas and from other states, instead of going straight home to stay in Quarantine, visit other places on the way. The district police chiefs were instructed to ensure that those arriving on their way home were not left behind. You can use the Highway Police, Control Room and Police Stations for this purpose. Road travelers from other states should also make sure to go straight to their homes. Police volunteers will be employed to ensure that those who live in the quarantine do not break the instructions and leave.

According to the state police chief, priority will be given to students belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes for providing assistance under the e-Vidharanam program for online students.

The number of sufferers is likely to increase. Therefore, proper arrangements will be made for it. In the first place, everyone should check to see if the vigilance and concern among the community is diminished. The danger must be understood in its seriousness.
