Tobi Amusan and Ese Brume lead a star-studded Nigerian lineup at the Adidas Atlanta City Games on Saturday, May 18th. This unique event brings Adidas professional athletes close to fans by hosting competitions in open spaces rather than stadiums. Nigerian athletes will face top global stars in preparation for the Paris Olympics 2024. Highlights include Amusan in the 100m hurdles against world record holder Kendra Harrison, Favour Ofili in the women's 200m against British star Daryll Neita, Brume in the long jump against world leader Tara Davies-Woodhall, and Udodi Onwuzurike in the men's 100m against Africa's fastest man, Ferdinand Omanyala. Additionally, the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria held Burkina Faso to a 0-0 draw in the WAFU B U-17 qualifiers, while Manchester City's goalkeeper Ederson will miss the rest of the season due to an eye injury.
