To clear up the meaning/difference between redface and redskin:
“Redface is the wearing of makeup to darken or redden skin tone, or feathers, warpaint, etc. by non-Natives to impersonate a Native American or Indigenous Canadian person, or to in some other way perpetuate stereotypes of Indigenous peoples of Canada and the United States. It is analogous to the wearing of Blackface.” Wikipedia
“ early historical records indicate that "Redskin" was used as a self-identifier by Native Americans to differentiate between the two races.… Decades later, the word "redskin" began to take on a negative… connotation” NPR and “ Some Native American activists in the 21st century, in contradiction of the etymological evidence discussed above, assert that redskin refers directly to the bloody, red scalp or other body part collected for bounty.” Wikipedia
