An amazing victory for the Coates family and GraceLife Church in Alberta. There is still one pending charge, but Pastor James will be able to be with his family until his trial in May.

If you have been following the events in Canada with Pastor James Coates, here is an update! Pray for our brothers and sisters in Canada that have their pastor imprisoned for gathering the church without exception.

While many continue to say he should have simply complied, Coates at least sits in jail as a man of conviction and principle. Like him or not for that, I doubt you’d have issues seeing him speaking up over things requiring a bit more boldness from a pastor. For me, it’s a breath of fresh air to see a man get lambasted by the church because he desires to gather the saints without impediment or turning some away—rather than say, seeing him go the way many prominent, celebrity evangelical pastors have, who disqualify themselves from ministry in scandal.
