For our first anniversary we have decided to put together a compilation of artists, local and abroad, to give back to those who are in desperate need of any help we can give. We feel deeply for all those who are suffering in Palestine, and we feel it is our duty to try to aid them in these desperate times in any way we can.

So we have decided to donate all proceeds of this compilation to The Palestine Children's Relief Fund. We Would really appreciate it if you would join us in doing any thing you can, by either sharing this release, purchasing it, or donating to the organisation to help those in need.

We stand with Palestine.

It’s release week, and with that being said, here is a little something about the person behind FLUID010.
genam is an alias of multi-disciplinary artist Sjoerd de Ridder, who operates within many media and genres. His interests as a producer and sound designer lie in creating rich atmospheres and unconventional rhythms. Often hypnotic and even psychedelic. You could say the same about his DJ sets.

Doolhof will be out this Friday (16 Feb). So be sure to get your pre-orders via the link in our bio.

We are so excited to announce our first release of 2024, as well as the 10th release on Fluid, with a very special guest.

With a warm welcome to Fluid we introduce Sun Genam, who is an artist from the Netherlands.

Sun Genam offers up a masterfully crafted release, showcasing his ability to operate in the outer realms of club music, with a tension fuelled take on techno, and a gritty half-time experience.

Here is a little something about the person behind FLUID009…

“Deep in my thoughts is where you’ll find the creative crevices, boisterous clefts and embodies my journey as an upcoming artist. The soundscape sonically describes the relentless zeal that is embodied in my passion for high energy beats and rhythms. This EP contains four intricately crafted tracks that have a strong foundation of snazzy percussions, groove focused loops and focused hedonistic palates. A nuanced combination of tonal textures and ideas all summarized into four tracks that represent the deep inner recesses of my mind. “

Here’s a little something about the individual behind FLUID008…

Ripchord, highly influenced by the UK music scene, seamlessly weaves his distinct sound of vocal chops, experimental bass, classical music, and ambient pads across all releases. In this EP, the artist delves into this sonic exploration, leading to the debut of the Jungle track "Hear Me." "Memorial" stands as Ripchord's heartfelt ode to the Future Garage genre, blending cherished elements with classical nuances. Closing the EP is "1 2 the 1," a manifestation of Ripchord's club scene passion, keeping it simple and free from overthinking.

It’s been such a pleasure running the label over this year, and getting to work with so many amazing people, here’s a thank you to each and every person who has contributed and worked with us since day one.

Here’s a little something about the individual behind FLUID007…

Breaching Light is Black Lake’s first solo EP release since 2019 and gives an insight into the styles which have influenced and continue to inspire the TOYTOY resident. A composition held together by the grainy soundscapes, twisted vocals, and unrelenting tension, Breaching Light is a step into the dark closing hours dance floors which have shaped Black Lake's sound.

We are very excited to invite a well known name within the South-African electronic music scene to release on Fluid.

Black Lake looks into the future to produce a really solid piece of work. He offers up some gritty textured music, with plenty of pace and direction. While sticking true to his sound, Black Lake ventures into some seldom explored waters for this release.

We are very excited to announce our next release, and welcome another newcomer to Fluid.

With the imprint being fluid with taste, we decided to diversify the palate even more, and would not have been able to do that without Sage Sei.

Sage Sei offers up 3 experimental tunes, that are on the fringe of club music, all packed full of feeling, reminiscent of those early mornings.

Here’s something about the person behind our upcoming release.

returns to Fluid after being part of our very first release, With Abandon V/A, where he offered a great stripped back tune, full of analog textures.

This time he offers up his very first album, which is an 8 tracker, packed with various styles and directions. All of this staying true to his sound and uniqueness.

Christian’s Mouth Breather takes us through many variations and textures, and offers up something intriguing while keeping the overall impact close to the heart, and close to his signature.

After some difficulties and delays with the release, we are happy to announce that his Mouth Breather LP will be release on all Digital Streaming Platforms and Bandcamp on the 20th of July.

We do apologise for all of the delays surrounding the release.

A little bit about he artists who contributed to the With Abandon V/A.

A1 - Area32, .wav

A resident of Cape Town, Shanzo delivers a vibrant effort, with sweet melodics, and inspiring vocals.

A2 - Transience, ID(Anonymous)

An anonymous contribution, which is best described as an intelligent mix of meticulously placed arps and synths, to create an emotional moment.

B1 - Stiff Upper Lip,

Based in Limpopo, Christian delivers a stripped back hardware recording, full of stabbing synths and and rolling yet staggered rhythm.

B2 - Rave As A Slur,

Björn (SingleMotherOfTwo) currently based in Cape Town offers us a track full of texture and grit, with chopping breaks as is their signature.
